What Really Gets Me Up Each Morning

What gets me up each morning from my bed is first, my cats, wanting to be fed. One cat would even hit my head! To work I must be, or else I’d lie there cozily indefinitely. Ultimately, I get up just to pee! For Ed Ebb's What makes you wake up each and everyday! Poetry Contest

haha good one Andrea... We understand the cats thing. They can be quite demanding. Almost as much as a stretched bladder! Yup, happily Catholic . And that day of the dead is formally called All Souls Day whereby special day set aside where we pray for all who have already passed on. Enjoyed your poem

The latter sure gets many of us up Andrea, and animals can be very demanding. Good luck in Ed's contest with this "you" reality piece :)

LOL Yes, I remember cats whining to be fed each morning, but it was having to pee that MADE me get up out of bed, Andrea. I love your entry! The Potato Pancake poem did not appear even when I tried to edit it, so I reposted it. Thanks for the heads up. Best wishes in Ed's contest! Love, Carolyn

Okay....Andrea..Good luck in the contest..Reads like a winner to me..You do have the option of going back to bed though..Reads like a winner...Thanks for stopping by..Yes, years ago occasionally we would go to the drug store and get a coke with cherry added to it..'twas delicious..I am not familiar with the song but it is possible that if I heard it I would remember it..Sara

This one made me chuckle Andrea. Those are the same reasons for me. My dogs have to go outside and I have to go inside. ;) Great basic reason to get out of bed. Should do great in the contest. Good luck. God Bless, JB
