If I Can

If I can,
sing a lullaby to a crying baby, lonely in a dark cold night,
Until cozily doze off in my rocking lap.

  		If I can,
Hold firmly a falling down soul in despair,
And give the courage to stand up again.

  		If I can,
Wipe a tear from a teen whose youth was stolen
And give her the wisdom to fight the cruel shame away.

This worthless life means something to me

Yes, my dear friend! Even if we could help only a person in despair, then our life has not been in vain! Beautiful words coming out of a beautiful soul! Happy to have read it! Thank you!
