If I Can
If I can,
sing a lullaby to a crying baby, lonely in a dark cold night,
Until cozily doze off in my rocking lap.
If I can,
Hold firmly a falling down soul in despair,
And give the courage to stand up again.
If I can,
Wipe a tear from a teen whose youth was stolen
And give her the wisdom to fight the cruel shame away.
This worthless life means something to me
