Surreal Lovesong

Take away painsong

Let hate be planter of lovesong

Walking down hazy surreal corridors of blue sublime

I let destiny’s hand

Guide my heart.

Left Fleeting

Walking blind through the corridors
of his imagination

All vision was fleeting
—the truth beyond

(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2019)

Premium Member Haunting Memories

Memories and thoughts haunt me

Through the dark corridors of my mind

Forever with me

Patiently waiting for the right time

To take over

Premium Member About This Place

Life has become small
with age and the pall of death
discoloring once vibrant
joy, and old laughter
echoes down the corridors,
fading fast into shadows.

Power and Money

How much is enough

When trying to reference

Power and Money

Is it ?

To infinity and beyond

Or rather to the corridors of power

And the ear of the man

Premium Member Not My Vision

A surreal thought:
Sonorous corridors are murmurous minds.

An arcane thought:
Gorgeous means dazzling
but sounds unrefined.

MORE THAN THE EYE CAN SEE - Poetry Contest

In the Face of Love

In the face of love,
Dark days are lighted,
Misty corridors are traversed,
In the face of love,
The eyes see beyond the horizon,
The glow of hope permeates.

Lost in thought, drifting away,
Navigating through the corridors of silence

Shadows of Hypocrisy

In Biden's corridors of power, silence veils the past
A dance with shadows, as grievances amassed
While some are judged by words that sting
Joe finds comfort in a bigoted ring

Empty Jars

Empty things-

Empty rooms-filled with things-
Empty vases-empty jars
Empty seats-
Cupboards that are bare-

Corridors-in my mind-
Long and narrow-alone I stare-
Vacant land -
You once – were there!

Premium Member Corridors of Silence

During the cold empty
corridors of silence
where mind and thoughts
are free to roam
undisturbed by life's
din and clutter
I am at one with myself
again and in quiet contemplation
alone.

lushness of seasons
come with motions of the sun
down time's corridors

bees hum and birds sing
among vivid teeming life
petals on the breeze

sunrise sunset days
all based on quantum magic
God is everywhere

Premium Member Holiness On Christmas Eve

There's holiness on Christmas Eve
whether snow does fall or warmth may call

It's a special time, when Sanctity
  enters -- not majestically
  but silently, moccasined

Linger

Are we strangers now?
With memories neither of us can let go
And smiles we know
Were never really true
As we walk past each other
In empty corridors
I wonder
Will you ever
Realize
My eyes still linger on you.

Premium Member Stormy Lives Lived

Stormy lives lived, their
    whirling vicissitudes
  tease our windy passions
    imagery strewn

  'long corridors else hollowed
    by whores and addicts, why?
  rages the storm, tempting
    deep within, reflects the sky

Wanderd corridors
     of lighted rooms
Rutted and trailed
     over years of steps,
Leading and led,
Seeing and fed,
Noting the moving things,
Hearing the rooster rings,
Familar faces
In roving places
Waiting our next touch.

After Reading the Bell Jar

curl up like black paper
burning like a moth;
a glove turned inside out;

trapped too under a house;
a circle hidden and musty;
fragile under steps,

let us escape the carrying;
legions of white coats,
corridors as long as life.

She Walks the Corridors

she walks these corridors that we know, bleeding to death unbeknown
physically or mentally i do not know
but behind her elegance's i know she is in pain
so stop strutting in those six inch heels sun and rain
And allow someone to help you refrain

Handkerchief Touched His Face

Deeply etched crystal doors
Stone arched mansion corridors
Family members country estates
Hounds skittering on marble slate
Clinging intoxicating rose perfume
Stirringly beautiful graceful redhead
Read invitation wide eyes little smile
Form: Rhyme

Politicans

Self interest abandons us all
Politicians on the make
shades of muddied truth
flicker like worm casts
Information over lorded,
lingering secret conversations
in dusty corridors
The consequences need no mentioning
The reasons I can no longer comprehend

Weariness

it is so early that birds are not chirping
sleep is evasive, dreams nonexistent
I am bathed in darkness, dressed in coldness
thoughts are heavy, speeding down congested corridors
will it always be this way?
weariness plagues me
my mind betrays
my heart weeps
