Someone is conservative
Someone is liberal
But
Someone is
Transcendentalist and
Universalist
Is he a conservative, too?
Nothing brings a conservative and liberal
together…

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2016)
Judging by who was in the room at the time when Jesus said “one of you will betray me.” One seems to me to be a very conservative estimate.
small bar of soap welded to new
squeaky clean
...And we’re all seen where their impulses end,
in genocides and societies sick,
it seems we can never drop our guard
on the problems that we cannot fix.
There was a conservative from Czech,
Who loves anything tech,
He made a robot,
From a material called cobalt,
This attacked and killed the man of Czech.

Conservative, coy
Sorrow
Grave tomorrow

Rainbow hair is in the teens say,
A Mohawk please, I told Miss Bee.
That would truly make my day
My mother heard these words you see.
Conservative cut is staying,
A smart choice, as she is paying.
FDR said, "A radical is a man with both
feet planted firmly in the air."
How inspirational.
How impossible!
A radical is original,
Revolutionary!
Just as long as it's not a
Superficial
Conservative!
Woodrow Wilson said,"A
conservative is a man who just sits
and thinks, mostly sits."
Well, if he mostly sits,
I call that laziness.
If his feet were planted firmly in the
air, like FDR says,
At least he's not a radical.
First conservative People who do not tolerate criticism against religion.
Second liberal People who support the freedom of expression.
Third hypocrite People who can't tolerate criticism against them but criticize
and mock others.

Urge To Emerge With Surge
With Politics always will have urge,
To eventually end up and emerge;
Learned game;
Popular became;
Being conservative and not splurge.

Is Ali's relative still writing poems?
I am approaching 6,000 total.
She is confident, she is unsure.
Suspicious, trusting, aware, unaware,
a chameleon without trying
depending on the circumstances, and the company
She is an achiever, a procrastinator
She is a neatnik, a messer,
She is a beatnik, a conservative
She is woman after all.
I’m hesitantly ecstatic,
And devoutly Republicratic,
A conservative eclectic,
And a pragmatic romantic.
I scoff at reality,
I’m a collection of coined morality,
I’m a gracious curmudgeon,
And everyone’s conundrum,
Does this make me gregariously timid?
Or just consistently inconstant?

By serving God and others,
And living a righteous life;
While avoiding those matters,
Which fill days with strife;
Whether at the spot of origin,
Or maybe appointed to go;
Be conservative dear friend,
“You Reap What You Sow”;
I'm wondering about our secret selves -
The vegetarian smoker
The isolationist who speaks Cantonese
The soldier with the peace sign
The blue collar millionaires
The conservative who dares
The scientist who prays
The vagabond who stays
There's more to all of us than what we seem

Neither left wing nor right
conservative or liberal,
he goes about his day
Living outside the parameters
of deception,
hell in heavens way
While living as dead
he vanquishes time,
each moment present now
Defying your judgment
refusing to choose
—all limits disavowed
(Dreamsleep: August, 2019)
Skyline of rowed houses
Rolls past and
So do the greys of labour,
Conservative and otherwise
Are boarded on the decks of
Oil tankers; hollow
Hulking HMS something
Sleeps in the docks
Of the town once red
Now muddy brown
And sick,
Labour wise and
Reading Caledonia.

Conservative fuddy-duddy
Though he shortened his name to Connie Mack
Neither smoked, drank ~ or cut players any slack

With olive oil and vinegar
And spices for some zest,
My husband does his magic
And I’m always so impressed.
No bottled stuff for him
Or me and never for a guest,
His greens and veggies always pass
The oh-so-yummy test.
He’s really not conservative
But just a bit obsessed,
‘Cause a naked salad will not do –
So his is always dressed!
