Time

"Their is no wasted time in life,
All time is meaningful.
Be consciously aware of how
Time is spent."

Premium Member Can a Leopard

Can a leopard
Change its spots?
I don’t think
That it basically can,
But the choices
I’ve consciously made
During my life
Has made me ...
Who I now am.

Epigram #211:
BEING

Enter into silence consciously,
Meet sure stillness in deep ecstasy;
Know now and here a Being clearly.

When abject fear visits me
Puffs up like Simon Legree
Consciously yet so sweetly
Ignore myself completely

Hunger

Am not oblivious, but consciously aware
That poetry feeds a dreaming heart
And what better way to charm
A woman's hunger for this art

... the most important question is life while I consciously believe in an in an eternity with Christ

Sharkskin Jacket

with clammy hands deep
in shallow side pockets,

his absent-minded fingers
very consciously fidget

at the feel of cold car keys
and crumpled tickets,

yes, he's now going places
in this sharkskin jacket !

White Noise

consciously
turn on the
subtle mental
white noise
in order to
drown out
the meaningless
distracting
commotion
that lay in the
background of
the subconscious
mind as memories
not needed any further

Thought

Thought

Is the soul becoming

Consciously-presumptuous
Socially-Flirtatious
Cognizantly-Odacious
Sleuthfully-Gracious
and
Wakefully-in
Metamorphosis

Of pondering our place in God's Universe, and the reason for it.

Illusion the World

in this world
I cross many things,
many times
consciously, subconsciously

here
everything is
in nothing!
nothing is
in everything!
seemingly
illusion,
delusion
born from dead, dies on birth!

Catching

Alluringly avidly acutely animated
Blossoming beautifully barely belated
Cavorting colliding consciously collaborating
Desperately dreaming delicious delirium
Exhilirating enchanting enthusing enjoyment
Fascinating fantastic fabulous flair

Weary Too

Fed up with the way this road is going
Fed up with not being able to accomplish something
Tired of constantly waiting it turned into constipation
someone hand me something to end
what subconscious started
that I consciously have no memory of

DIVORCE

During one’s own lifetime
Inexplicable events do occur
Verily, heart-wrenching and mind- boggling
Ominous, and often soul-searching,
Rarely one can endure or cope with,
Consciously but one must come to accept,
Each man to his own fate is destined!

Consciously…
Unconsciously…
Streams of query flow
Walls of falsehood erased
Screens of delusions get torn.
Springs of truth soothingly creep in.
Hunger satisfied, my heart comes home.
Days, nights, and seasons find endless newness.

Listen to poem:
Serenity is to know what's right'
Eyes that peer in, beyond what's seen'
Nurturing our feelings with no regrets contrite.
Sensing the world, with consciously culled delight.
Exploring touch, smell, taste in ways foreseen.

Angelic Imperfection

Late for the Nativity
I stand among the throng
Self-consciously
Singing with the angels
Quietly
Sensing the future
Yearning out
In front of me
Revealed
Symbolically
How it will
Always be
Odd one out
For all to see

The only angel
Without wings

each leaf in its way
fly like homeward migrant birds ---
toward nations new

winds and storms ahead
flying with each green and red ---
find paths of their own

they might reach in seas
or in lands known or unknown ---
consciously conscious

Premium Member Why I Dance

I have a simple truth to share:

As I dance consciously

Become aware,

That

Life is movement

And I can dare,

Because I know

Everything changes.

And I care,

Because

Love is our essence

And we ALL have something to share.

Request To a Sleepless Poem

Lay down, sleep, sleepless poem
for me into the night, slowly
may I be attentive and long
can write your thoughts

adjust your body thus thoughtless
so that I can consciously
write incessantly with impunity

take my advice and rest
to free me from discomfort
having you attentive to my torment

Premium Member Seeds

Seeds By Tom Wright 9/17/98 With each spring, comes the planting of seeds. It is not fortuitous that the earth gives forth plants. By expecting, we, whether consciously or not, exercise our faith in, God. Like the seed, man too must die, In order to rise again in, Christ.

The Simplicity of Thought Written: by Tom Wright 6/20/2018 Some mornings, Pretentious words arrive devoid of call, Today, phrases bathe my mind, And then tauntingly stall. Sub-consciously, I shall either embrace them, or refrain. But both have the ability to vanish from me, Or remain.

Premium Member So It Goes

So Then:
 Now That I've Lived It,
   You Know, Consciously...

Of Course! You Have
 No Way Of Knowing
What's Going On,
 Perfectly, Because You
Can't; No Exploration
 Is Meant To End!

Divinely. SO MUCH NOISE!

Of Course You
  Can't Hear Me,
    All That Well.

Not Guilty.

A Walk In the Park

Consciously smelling the eloquent reds
A vibrance of colours
Rendering breath.

Scent of lilacs, taste of rain
Moments born out of something
Its all just natures strain.

Alien textures gathering dust
An avalanche of voices
A tranquil birdsong,

The helium lullaby sweeping trees
It all just a walk in the park
regardless of season.
