The
esteemed
servicemen
honored today,
on this November 11, 2020,
gave their lives for our sake --
We honor them by vowing
we shall never forget duty
to God, country, and compatriots.

COMPATRIOTS

Compatriots , where are you compatriots ?
On our a nation let’s pause a bit:
Money , money , money , money...
Peace dying, children crying
All moving as if all is well
Take a look at what nation has become :
Riots in south , terrorists in north ;
In the land of our births
Only God can say who is next
Thousand today, thousand tomorrow
Shame , what a shame !!!...

Hold on you big angry cat
Laying ambush for the little rat
Take heed and be circumspect
The rat may not be your suspect

Wait a minute you big angry cat
Be patient with the little rat
He is innocent of every crime
Until proven guilty by court in this clime

Listen to me all you angry cats
Compatriots of all the innocent rats
Jungle justice is outdated
And never to be updated...

A Nation On Call
Compatriots of democracy,
yet again witness a change of power,

With eyes no longer blind,
we'd hold you accountable this time,

for revival and hope renewed,
we will stand with you

though times are perilous,
and life a little rocky

but in this whirlwind of dust,
the people are resilient

we are first compatriots of democracy,
and on this windfall,

we rise and obey
the clarion call....

Finding Your Peeps
When you're thrown in a group
For a day or a week,
Compatriots are
The companions you seek.

You scope out the crowd
Or engage in a chat
And you know who your homies are,
Right off the bat.

It might be their style
Or their background or views,
But meeting them sure helps
Enliven a cruise.

It's possible there
Will be friendships for keeps
For you make a connection
When you find your peeps....

Gumwrinkle
Detrimentally captive,
wrapped in tinsel, hung from the beams and force fed laxatives,
the obscene dream of relapsin,
relinquished orgasmic compatriots glancing over their shoulders at the advancing boulders
as the romance smoulders.
They told her and told her it's over it's over but she chose her one leaf clover overture
and smiles at her teeth in the glass
sings unknown soldier and reflects on when she was told he adores her....

Letter To Earth's Sons
I make an ultimate sacrifice,
Of my most precious time
And the blood of my dear friend
My ever near pen

To write
Not to black or white
But to all you compatriots
Beloved fellows of mother earth

If thou for truly art
Born of the womb of a woman
And of the loins of a man
Then love thee thy neighbor

Every nation every land
Every tongue and every man
Irrespective of our color
We bear one man in common - man

We are one...

School Days Now and Today
At 60 you hope for another school reunion
of your compatriots'
After all this was your first corporate flagship
(Blazers and satchels)
Grandparents now, some retired
What is more reticent
is some of our teachers have died
but their legend lives on
such full characters
magnificent in their valour
deserving respect
Yet Facebook the great replacer
of friends reunited
cannot illicit enough responses
for a reunion or reaching out for figurines...
