Thanks, Anaya. I enjoyed writing the poem and felt it had meaning for Veteran's Day.

I had to place this in top three placements for its great patriotic message, Milt. Just a question for you: when you use numbers like 11 and 2020, you do not sound them out as syllables? I always do my poems that way, and I was curious what other poets do. Anyway, GREAT job and congrats for your win in my contest.

Thank you, Andrea. I enjoyed writing this nonet for your contest. I can't really answer your question, because I didn't even think about it. I wrote the poem for its message, and I hope it would be well-received. It was. Thanks, again, so much.

It didn't turn out to have that perfect shape I wanted, but it certainly has the message!
