servicemen
honored today,
on this November 11, 2020,
gave their lives for our sake --
We honor them by vowing
we shall never forget duty
to God, country, and compatriots.

Just a question for you: when you use numbers like 11 and 2020, you do not sound them out as syllables? I always do my poems that way, and I was curious what other poets do.
