What I Miss Most From My Youth
What I miss most from my youth
The spontaneous, combustible
Unaccountable insanity to
Will, thrill myself and others
To heights and planes
We cannot see
Or ever see again.

Premium Member she seemed combustible
lightning quick swirls, twirls, dots and dashes flickered and flashed
the gypsy’s frenzied dancing was felt by everyone in the room.
such passion! Such flair, such fire! She seemed combustible....

Discombobulated design
will allow the mind to hover;
Dig deep or walk shallow it’s fine,
you are left free to discover;
View, interpret, and uncover
combustible pieces of soul;
Each one different from the other;
Such beauty in out of control....

Ode To a Flower
From her fertile white pedals
Rose sways her hips
Ten feet tall
Her flowers fall
On peat and sand
Taking root in my willing hand
Her roots
Fire my combustible carbon
And I see diamonds in her eyes
I was long in this winter's chill
A wistful dry fruit
Awaiting propagation...

Roman Candle
I woke up this morning
pent-up as a Roman candle.

All it would take is a spark
for ideas to shoot like fire into the sky.

My life to this point
has been ground down to combustible powder
and packed tightly inside the cylinder of my being.

I'm waiting
for a flicker to touch the fuse of my brain.

Stench of sulfur,
Someone just lit the match....

Premium Member Sustainable Love
Out of the blue,
love engulfs you.
As Dante's Infernal,
it can be eternal.
Those youthful puppy smells.
Fresh as new love prevails.
Ceaseless are all tomorrows.
A love new sometimes follows.
Combustible heat love at its peak
Sustainable love not for the weak
With a struggle now and then
Only the stubborn diligent win
With a love that will never end...

Love Is Fire
Negative, positive,
Two opposite to each,
When bond together;
Generates reaction,
While both collide;
Beget friction,
we call is 'spark';
The supple Phenomenal,
Combustible body,
Of flesh and mind,
Heats up in boiling emotions;
Dragged together,
By strong wind of yearn;
Transforms to extensive 'Fire';
Needless to say,
is romance full of love;

Oh Bible Junkie
Oh Bible Junkie
Proceed with caution
The needle sinking deep
Remind yourself
Or hire someone
To point out
Combustible
Degenerative verses
With euphoric illusions
Those that lead
The flock, yourself
To turning
Heavenly tricks
For ecumenical devotions
Remain cognizant
Remain real to thyself
Thy kingdom will come
But only by answering
The call
To those, to which
You're grounded.

Premium Member no surprise to their families
they once had fire that was combustible
it was difficult to not feel their heat
their families knew their passion before they did
like two cats facing off, sparing away their tension

next door neighbors, they never expected to date
best friends, they never thought of each other in a sensual way
until college happened, and they were separated
upon their return, things happened quickly,

no surprise to either family,
they had seen it coming for years...

Perception Ct
rose-colored passion
on the horizon
fragments of light
through reflection

implications
within the blue
a pondered moment
fond memories
reaching out

distorted sunrise
and a thousand more
dusty memories
bloom

triggered effect
scribbled thoughts
unpublished~ paper sheets
poems to burn

combustible
shades of life
attuned~soul to soul
we are~more than a memory

Dry Ride
The road is sluggish,
trucks burn the sky,
the sun roasts the blacktop.
We crawl out of one place
only to meander and inch
into another melting byway.

I count hawks and buzzards,
play the same music track
over and over again.
The air-con blasts
as we tinker with the time
we have left
before we can reach
that cube of ice
inside a cold margarita.

First though
we have to pour ourselves
out of a wilting car
away from the combustible
fumes of all these
overheated thoughts....

Dropped Kisses
I leave you kisses everywhere,
littering them like trash-dropping them here and there.
My kisses become clutter in the day to day havoc that is your life,
and mirror the stars in the sky.

They shatter a devastating echo of combustible constellations.

My kisses are time bombs of passion... possibly poison.
I hope you pick each one up naked, and alone.
A fitting tease for denying me your lips.
Turning me into a pedestrian delivery service,
dropping kisses around a set schedule....
