Saddled with this task
burden
beast
of razor colour scheme
years of crumbled paint
the dust in lungs
a poisoned dream
still clinging
holding breath
to clear the air
between the stitches of a seam

Premium Member Just Because I Said I Do

Clearly conveyed
My passion for you,
Still subject me
To an acid test,
Love is not
Something can
be proved,

It undoubtedly
Can only be felt,
Have the spirit,
Have the flavour,
Must is trust,
Clear the air,
Just because
I said
I do !!

Zealous Light Is Burning

M-arch sixteenth day
I-s so beautiful and fair;
R-ain has just disappeared,
A-fter the clouds clear the air.

C-old chill has turned warm,
R-ays of the sun are shining;
U-nder the bright sky above,
Z-ealous light is burning.

Premium Member Archie Bunker's Chair

Nobody sat in Archie Bunker's chair

From which he bloviated with a flair!

He drove Meat Head up the wall,

         With unmitigated gall!

Hapless Edith umpired to clear the air!

Sometimes

sometimes,
everything that can be shaken will be
it all rattles around in my brain

sometimes,
it's best to clear the air
sometimes, it is not

sometimes,
what you see and what you feel
are not the same

always,
the things you thought you were sure of
will fool you every time

Crowded Desk

Crowded Desk
 Room to write.
 Writer’s block.
 Pen to the paper.
 Get to work.
 Crowded desk.
 Crowded thoughts.
 These are your words.
 Art to color.
 Mind racing.
 Document your life.
 Be descriptive.
 Be true, be different.
 Crowded mind.
 Take a walk anytime.
 Clear the air.

The Foul Smell of Lies

They can stink up the joint,
Those falsehoods you flaunt
fooling no one but yourself,
There is little point in it,
You stupid bag of sh__,
Time to come clean,
you know what I mean,
clear the air of bull,
maybe then you'll....
know how truth may hurt
but if only of lies you are full
it's far more worse
than the devil's curse

Sanity

The noises are so loud sometimes,
I think I'll go insane.
Anxiety levels rising,
I could probably spit some flames.
Anger is not an option here,
although it would be great.
I take a deep breath and hold it in,
or try to count to ten.
Laugh out loud to clear the air.
I think I'll be ok.
Then I'll see a couple of smiling faces,
That takes it all away.

Used to think that happiness
Was contingent upon striving
If only we can obtain ______
Then we’ll really start thriving

Leads us to chasing our tail
Continually stuck in high gear
Yet there's a path to clear the air
To make the grasping disappear

Take stock of what we have now
Notice the pieces are already in place
To invite happiness to our doorstep
If we embrace today and end the chase

Nature of the Beast

It is practical to use all you possess
To want to keep your happiness
To provide comfort and care
At times you need to clear the air
In the room you are stranger who came from nowhere
The people you love no longer know who you are
You've given up on catching that falling star
Things get bad and sometimes worse
Bad luck will follow like a curse
You try to grow flowers, but you inherent weeds
Life never allows you to forget the nature of the beast

We Had a Storm This Morning

We had a storm this morning Effervescence light above the roof Big fat raindrops coming On my shoulders if I ventured too close Sometimes refreshing to clear the air Other times the wind slams shut the door I never know which it will be Until it ends and the turbulence calms There could be a storm coming again soon I have to wait and see which way Will she be ready to right past hysteria Or blame the lightening for the rain

Premium Member Where are you

I’m there because she’s there
Though the secret of love
My eyes declare
When they not only watch
But begin to stare
Oh how I wish I could
Clear the air
And show her with which
My heart would swear
Make plain with words
What my soul would bare
Come to terms with my conscious
And make it square
Incurable shyness and
Inexplicit scare
Oh how I wish I could show
My care
And make my wanting
Realy clear
Yet tell her I would not dare
The fear of rejection
Keeps me there

I find it funny
bordering absurd
to hear people ramble on
and spill their beans

they must be all delusional
thinking they are entitled

do they really
not hear themselves

I’m absolutely delighted
to send them on their quirky
and eccentric way

I shake my head
clear the air and try hard to pretend
they were never here nor there
