Try to find me,
for I am hiding.
You can not see me,
hear me, or feel me.
For I don't want to
be found.
I would rather
have my solitude,
feel safe and sound
instead of known
and hounded.

Remember
In a time of loss,
there is only sorrow.
Cry not for what is gone,
Rejoice in memories past.
Feel a thought, feel a whisper.
Until we meet again...
Remember

One Day
All my life I have lived with
the error of my ways.
My many failures and
my own personal anguish.
If only for a day
I could not feel this way.
If only for a day,
My pain erased,
my hopes could finally
soar away.
If only for a day.

Through a Looking Glass Part Ii
In a world quiet
Don't make a sound.
Know a limit, set your bounds.
in every shade.
Love what you have
for it is golden.
Tarnish not those simple words,
Love is complexity only you can know.
Question not the vows you took,
Forever more the ties that bind.

Broken
Smash it,
Break it,
Throw it on the ground.
A fit to see
that no one ever will.
A quiet pain suffered in silence.
Cracked in pieces and shattered still.
Reckless moments,
no one will understand.
Broken shells of what once was whole,
Nothing the same as was before.

Lost
Draw the shades, the sun is scorching.
Heat so thick it hurts to walk.
Feeling second is never best.
Set aside, pushed away, always in the shadows.
You have to wonder, a thought to ponder;
always searching never finding.
Open the shades, it's growing dark.
It's time to sleep and feel all over again.

My Everything
In a world of chaos, you are my serenity.
In ever changing times, you are my rock.
You make me smile, you make me laugh.
You are mine, as I am yours.
Together we will make this world ours.
Forever and a day, you and me.
I love you more than you could ever know.
You are my everything, my peace, my cake.

Seasons
A gentle breeze caresses your face,
as another season passes.
Another winter harsh and cold,
filters through your soul.
Spring comes to warm your heart,
gently thawing the ice.
Seasons change as all the world
will go flying by.
It happens everyday,
blink once and all will
pass before your very eyes.

Emotion
A single note, so pure and sweet.
piercing your soul, cutting so deep.
Lightning flashes, so bright and white.
Blinding your eyes, burning your sight.
It happens so fast, so quick with might.
un-expectantly shocking, to the bone it strikes.
Emotions tumbling, confusing and frightening,
so quick to set, so easily unexpected.

Escape
In the darkness where shadows dwell.
Is there strength in bitterness
or only decay.
When the unknown springs wide
those massive jaws.
How hard do you try to run away?
In the moment you think
all will be well-
panic sets in
and only time will tell.
In this darkness where shadows dwell.
Waiting for a light,
to wash away that forever night.

Sensations
Open your ears and hear the noise.
Listen to the pounding of the surf,
the sound of waves crashing on the sand.
Feel the searing rays of the sun, like sparks of flames from a fire.
Touch the swirling drops of cooling mist
sweeping across the sand.
Pure blues and glorious greens fill this mirage
to inebriate the senses.
Close your eyes and try not to flounder while you stay afloat.

Never
I thought you would- understand.
I thought you would- forgive.
I thought you would- see what I was trying to say.
I thought you would- give me a reason.
I thought you would- open that door.
I thought you would- believe in me.
I thought you would- be there for me.
I thought you would- stay with me.
I thought you would- never leave.
I thought you would- care.
I thought you would- but now I know you never will.

I do not know?
Unlocked Doors
Life has no bounds
Yet we seem to bind ourselves.
Life has no restraints
yet we are contained.
Why do we lock our
hearts and souls.
Why do we bury our
hopes and fears.
Can we stop hiding
behind our masks.
Can we stop holding
our heads in our hands.
It seems so hard
to free ourselves,
from all of those
invisible bonds.
Yet freedom is so near
the door unlocked,
our path so clear.
We just need to look
beyond our fears.

An Open Window
Look in the mirror,
what do you see?
A reflection of self, a picture of me.
Look closer, look longer,
is that what you still see?
look past the make-up,
look past the smile.
eyes tell it all,
a reflection it may be.
a window, a gateway,
a reflective pane-
past it all do you really see?
shatter it in a thousand shards,
makes no difference
pieces still remain.
Look into the mirror
do you truly see?

Until Tomorrow
Forever in our minds,
Forever in our hearts.
Eternity will be yours,
for to forget we will not.
Many a years you lived,
a presence you once were.
Touched forever the lives of today,
from moments of yesterday.
You gave of yourself everyday,
even though tomorrow will never come.
Missed you will be,
but you will live on.
Generations come and go,
but memories will forever stay.

Sands of Time
Words that have no meaning.
Living in a glass globe,
Easily shaken by a whim.
Hoping for a different outcome,
knowing there is none.
Glowing stars in a night so dark,
sun shining on a day so bleak.
Words I cannot find,
to finish this write.
Stuck in shadows and fraught with peril,
No answers left to give an answer.
Perhaps in time
Those words will fall.
Another time, another place.
Love knows no bounds,
Yet a place it will find.

Precious Is Time
A moment,
A whisper, a Scent.
Fast forward-gone.
Blink, turn, reality of time.
Fast or Slow
Quicker than a thought.
Regret, Sorrow, Tears,
Remembrance.
In Sorrow we mourn,
Those we'll never see again.
Remembrance,
is all that we have.
Memories are all that are left.
Regret of words never said,
If only we spoke,
If only we said,
If only is to late.
Precious is time,
yet an enemy of mine.

Through a Looking Glass
In the corner I am sitting
watching people pass.
Some are angry, some are happy,
others anxious or scared.
Through a looking glass I watch
sealed in my shell.
I try to keep my feelings hidden
but easily I am broken.
I wish I could fly, far, far away;
up to the sky higher than high.
Look down from my perch
and see the people go by.
For in the corner I am sitting
trying to let the world go by.
Clinging with my only hope,
and hoping I can float.

Perhaps
It all comes so easy
an emotion we give freely,
swiftly said
even unto our dead.
Seems a wonder
a thought to ponder;
Do we mean it
or only repeat it.
Whispered or shouted
emotions tend to be clouded.
Family or friends
it just depends.
Wild or tame
the word remains the same.
Like a fight between hawk and dove,
predator and prey.
A word we crave
but sometimes never say.
it is all around, below and above,
it is the word we call love.
