on dreams stored in eyes’ dark crawlspace

Monsters Groan Hair In Wrinkled Gnaws

monsters groan hair in wrinkled gnaws…

hell chews hope in gnashed cash…

greased volcanoes sire rising screams…

burn of cyanide and bunkers reich…

flags star stud the roar of flames…

Growing Glitch In Moscow Mitch

Growing Glitch in Moscow Mitch

What we found was a growing glitch,
That would appear in Moscow Mitch;
Chews his cud;
Real dumb dud,
Then it tight together he must stitch.

The Color Brown

Chocolate, horses, barrels, mud
Hair, coats, paint, shoes, rocks, flags, washtub

In pasture Jersey chews her cud

Trapped in a Bubble

Hare trapped in a bubble,
Too pained by the capture;
Yet chews its last supper.
Even joy precedes pains—
    stop your stare,
    dare to help.
    Though I err,
    spare some love,
    wipe my tear.

The stiff neck from counterfeit blues…
I read about that in the news.
A guy from Sao Paulo
said he too can’t swallow,
but feels pretty good when he chews.

Stale Rum

Under the wind
of an electric fan
the old balladeer sounds
like a tired man,
blinks his bleary eyes
as fast as he can;

breath reeks of nicotine
and of stale rum,
crooning his song
with a gravelly hum,
the captive audience gossips
and chews gum!

Blade of Grass

On a single blade of grass,
 this young grasshopper chews.
Slowly letting time pass
 yet always in search for
A newer, fresher blade of grass.
 Hopping from yard to yard
Still this grasshopper can't surpass,
 Munching on every delicious,
New, green blade of grass.
