His feelings were strong
He never wrote poetry
Until he did
Cathartic writing
Began to heal his soul
He was a poet
writing is cathartic; I write one-liners when my muse~ feels burnt out

alleviation
of rage can be achieved in
plucking thorns, splinters,
and shards of glass when the chance
arrives -- very cathartic.

Poetry writing is cathartic for me.
It makes me happy.
Helps me to be
me.
My own words
On a page
May help others to see
I am not nearly as fierce as I want to be.
My ink is therapeutic
My ink is cathartic
My ink exposes pain
My ink heals
But today my ink has left
It has vanished
Why oh why has it gone away?
Without my ink I am lost

My cathartic heart
threw away the finished leaves of bitter autumn's burning
I brewed myself a loving cup, made sweeter by my learning
tansy, bay with chamomile, bright meadow flowers to sip
tastes better far than poison to be found upon your lip
Since this is number 9
lets see how many i can take with me
here that engine purr
they put my friends eyes in their roads
What is the catalysis
maybe its demonic pawsession
The image of a feline at the north pole is cathartic
catch me if you can
Writing provides a catharsis, said the poet
All those who are stressed-out know it
Asked, “Does it do the job better than sex?”…
Thumb and finger supporting his chin, the poet sighed,
“For the answer to that ~ I defer to my ex.”
Take me where poets go to weep,
ink never sleeps and hearts bleed deep.
In silence, I long for a cathartic dawn.
This canvas knows no frame for vain verses.
You'll never feel the heat of frozen tears.
As poetry breathes your name, amidst darkness.
cathartic Cathy cautioned counted cucumbers
distressing dungeon dragon’s delicate Dalmatian
effective Evie enthusiastically explained efforts
following five frolicking frisky French francs
giving grateful granny goose grumpy grits
handily helping Helena’s high hysterics
igniting illustrious iguana’s intricate ideals
C rying my heart out
A t night, watched only by God,
T ears flow at their own pace,
H ardly controlled by me;
A wake I lie, my mind working,
R apid thoughts come and go,
S ilence slowly silences my sadness.
I magination mingles with heartfelt words.
S erene, I write, each line a cathartic revelation.

Song from the Jukebox
A cautious experiment of the mind,
it flows over couples as they dance
and lends credence to their stance
as cathartic words unwind.
Strongly felt are the thoughts projected;
as they gently intrude upon each heart,
mending what might have fallen apart;
each life has been affected.
LIVING LIFE LOOSELY, I CHOOSE TO DREAM MY DREAMS LUCIDLY
LIVING LIFE LIKE ME IS DREARY WOE IS ME.
LIVING LIFE IN A DREAM, I'VE NEVER FELT SO FREE .
LIVING LIFE IN REALITY, SLEEPING SOLACES ME.
LIVING LIFE IN A DREAM TRANSLUCENT, HAPPY, AND GLITTERY.
NOW I SLEEP PEACEFULLY BECAUSE I'LL STAY FOR ETERNITY. - Maleeeon

The consummation of this
escape
blossoms into unhindered perception;
Naked, amenable gushes of slated clarity
wrack the the bounds of form;
born to change
the metamorphosis of itself
and evolve into the beauty seen
by
your eyes.

I don't know who I am waiting for
Maybe I am waiting for the painter
Who turns the cathartic moon
Into carnation mist of healing
Or maybe I am waiting for the pianist
Whose fingers turn the daunting nights
To midnight seas of delightful dreams
Or maybe I am waiting for a poet
Who will turn me into a poem
With all new beginnings.

Here's a tribute from me to you,
Recalling the old pet cockatoo,
His very vivid vocabulary,
Cathartic swearing, so funny,
He rose at dawn, would greet the day,
Sat on perch, screeched away,
Acquired language eagerly,
Nothing polite from that old he,'
Shared his emotions with us all,
Ended each day with his call,
Sleep tight now, so suitable.
Good night, bird beautiful.
Cathartic pinkness on wings of angel’s feet
Bring a lightness to the lake
She has never before felt.
Peppermint magic
Soft purple touches
Spiritual awakening
Heaven’s magic
Sky floods the lake with pureness
Godly feeling
Reverence and awe
Delicate pink clouds gather softly
Sharing love with forest
Saturating nature
Soft cathartic feeling
Showing God’s love for nature
Casting a glistening ray across glossy ice
Midnight sun above the frozen Arctic,
Shimmering stars adding a cosmic spice
Casting a glistening ray across glossy ice,
Two parka-clad lovers, a touch of nice,
Sharing soft, cooing love songs cathartic
Casting a glistening ray across glossy ice
Midnight sun above the frozen Arctic.

I ploughed myself into a hazy dream
The depths of which I dared not leave
I did not then but now I see
The truths that stand before me
A cathartic cause that they undertook
That echos through the ages
Stories told by mystic men
Of queens and kings and sages
It’s time too pay the devils due
The pain inside me rages
I wrote my death into a book
It’s found within these pages
I shall go through it alone,
As I came to this world.
If it decides to take time,
I shall go through it with family.
It should be fast and painless,
It shoud feel fulfilling.
If pain need be,
It should feel cathartic
Honestly, Am not afraid of When
Am afraid of How but whenever or however,
At my last breath and heartbeat I shall courageously smile
As I reflect on those I impacted positively.
the days all blend together
no pole to which to tether
daylight hours mostly a blur
nighttime now, nothing stirs
purposelessness leads to
hopelessness, on down to
depression, what's more
life's only a theoretical alternative
to death's cathartic purgative
old friends all forget me
relatives keep their distance
they must all be envious
of this hermit's existence
