One Too Many

I once knew a man from Decatur
who worked day and night as a waiter.
Poor lad married a lass
after too many a glass
of ale, now to her he must cater.

Yea, I'll say,
My crown wore a dream:
That, someday,
I'd be found as king;

Preparing to cater,
In sympathy,
Let each waiter,
Be friends with me –

Don’t you dare try to sit in my spot!
I’ll decide if you pet me or not.
I’m the star here, you’ll see.
   They all cater to me.
They just like you; they LOVE me a lot.

Premium Member Ooh, Poor Baby

We all concede mere words just can't express
the depth of our dismay and our distress...

When we hear you whine, from face so mad and grim,
the Universe won't cater to your every whim!

a wonderful birthday wedding cake
two celebrations in one
the baker stacked roses and carnations high
in peaches, pinks, and lavenders
delighting she was asked to cater her daughter’s wedding

Limericks Don’t Blush

A limerick is meant to be bawdy
not cater to those a bit haughty
ruffling feathers
exposing pleasures
cuz limericks are out and out naughty

Summer Wonderland

When I go outside to play
It ends up being all day
  When it's time to think
  We just get a drink
  Cater to my wim
  We just need to swim
  When school is done
  There is hope in fun

The Restaurant Trouble

You can't put a better bit of butter on your platter because a martyr did shatter the packet of your butter as it did welter in the gutter, but that waiter did cater you this later, muttering about an utter butter-hater from Gloucester with bitter hauteur.

I Promise

i promise to go where ever you go
i promise to stay with you, i hope you know
i promise not to leave you for another
i promise to cherish your love forever
i promise to cater to you for life
i promise to say i do to stay in your life
i promise to love you
if you promise to love me too

Paper Boats

Paper boats floating in puddles of water
Every little child’s sweet desire we’d cater
Like paper boats we now float on life’s great ocean
Our great minds carrying our thoughts and notions
But let us travel light and not carry the weight
Or like soaked paper boats will we lose our state

MISTICALLY I GAZE
OVER YOUR FOUNDATION
HOW I CATER TO A DAZZLING MYTH
A MAGICAL MUST THE MEANINGFUL GIFTS
BEHIND ST FRANCIS CATHEDRAL
NESTLED SO BEHIND
THE TRANQUIL GESTURES OF SELF
A HEMMINGWAY GUIDE
SHOWERED MIST AND EARTHLY WRAPS
GATHERED UPON THREADS OF KINDNESS
SEWN TO PERFECTO

Sleepy

Light creeps through the windows
She opens one eye to gather the time
Then wishes for gathering shadows
Before she hears the alarm bells chime

There is so much to be done for the day
Mentally she organizes her chores for later
As she yearns for much more sleepy play
Her pillow and blankets are happy to cater

Being In Love

My emotions
Are running wild.
I can't ccontrol myself.
You've got me thinking and doing things
I normally wouldn't do.
I'm happy, frustrated, frightened and confused.
I'm vulnerable
I'm liable
To cater to your every want and need
My friends say I'm crazy,
I'm being taken advantage of
But's it not like that
I'm just...........In Love

Snowflakes shimmer like our smiles of happiness
Keeping us all in white oceans this snowy week
Incredible knacks on our skis, they’re sole witness
Incomparable experiences they cater in limitless peak.
North to south, east to west…all in joyful gliding
Greatest winter’s delight is friends to families’ joyful bonding

Justify my words
As I cater to my life
Something all around me hurts
Must be the candle light
The spelling of relief
Has ingrown toe-nails
And yes cabbages don't have feet
I often eat chocolate covered snails
Then I place it in the Holy Grail
How can I read
When I can't see
I've been blind since 1923

Premium Member What Does It Matter

The parents and children that we care for. Or is it the multiple things we acquire. No one would think that. It matters how we live our lives. How we cater to one another. We aren't here for long, but we must make every minute count. So, roll up your sleeves and get to work, making life golly and gay for someone else, and see what really matters

Premium Member Politics

 Politicians with all their tricks
 Disguising all their lies
But they'll cater to the rich
And we'll be left with sighs

We hear empty promises once more
and know it'll be the same as before
We hope we wont get burned
 But we just never learn

We are caught up in the game
As we listen to their quotes
 Hoping for a change
 As we cast our vote

What we do today shapes who we become later. We can't stand to lose this chance to offer. To bestow expectations and courses to cater Will we hope to triumph over disaster? Future ages will respect this avid labor.

Premium Member The Cage Which Is Too Small

The cage
Too generous to cater food
Too considerate to cater water
Too worry to cater a confinement
Too anxious to cater a lock
Is too small for birds
To fly into the sky
To fly into the sea
The sunrise and the sunset
To bathe in the sun
To kiss the clouds
To kiss the waves
We apologise for the sufferings
Like that of lockdown Covid 19
Because we understand and we feel

Question For All the Ladies

Ladies if he doesn't cater
                                                 to his mother,what makes
you think he will cater to
                                                 you?

Figure out how he treats his mother
and you'll know what to expect for you.

Premium Member Bring Back Slavery

I am in favor of bringing back slavery,
but only slaves who wouldn't take their exploitation personally,
slaves that would cater to our every need,
without us needing to feel even remotely guilty.
Such slaves do exist today presently,
ready to serve us night and day our every need.
I only hope I see in my lifetime this new age of slavery,
when all of our most greatest of technologies,
are the slaves provided for everybody.

Premium Member Mighty Truthful Politician

All the mighty pieces
Gather together
What's the reason
in time in due season
I will not be policing
Or using ghetto tricks
Turning on the improvised
For it's treason
When you fail to represent the people
And you cater to those special interest groups
One thing absolute
Your a politician and once again you
speak not the truth guess your just another mighty truthful politician

Someone To Love

Hauntingly beautiful words
Come out of your mouth
Everyone see what I see
Everyone hear what I hear
And everyone is in love
Like Venus first born
You radiate beauty at its best light
I wish loneliness would've taught you how to love
To appreciate the hand that took you home that night
To cater for that heart that used to beat for your smiles
People like you don't learn such lessons
Beauty makes us happy and love fulfill us

Baby Its You

Listen to poem:
If I,
sail past the avenue to bargain a deal of faith,

Would it be of you,

Kiss of hand a flip of penny nights out,

To notice everything in the crowd but of you,

Would it be penny luck,

A master piece of design a hook among a,

Fish to drive in the feast,

Kiss of hand a flip of penny nights out,

Lonely no more is like a hat to cater,

Smart but bright and with every,

Move left for breathless,

Baby It’s You.
