it is a  straight   path   that   time  unwinds
 yet   we   create  the  endless   cycle  of  days 
 where  does the unwinding  end 
 where   do   we   stop  the  wheel 
 for  are  we  not  trapped   endlessly 
 in  the  cartwheel  of  time 
 going   round   and   round   within 
 but   moving   ahead   without 
 always

On thermals rising ever higher,
Effortless ride for fork-tailed flier.

Then, talons locked, they cartwheel down,
Orbiting, circling round and round.

They mew and mew like flying cats,
Amazing aerial acrobats !

Still circling, clockwise corkscrew flight,
Ever upwards 'til out of sight....
