He's downstairs in his cage
chirping like a real trouper
canary ramblings,
upstaged
by no other pet,
he's mine.
His name was Como, Mr. Perry
His voice as sweet as a canary's
Put a falling star in his pocket
Soon to fame did he rocket
my blue canary
sang for joy from dawn to dusk

My canary keeps a pet cat;
that used to be sat on a mat,
but now it is caged
and slightly enraged;
to the bird, it’s just tit for tat!
The yellow canary
Turns green with envy,
He shall sing like a piccolo
In the soft moonlight, but
Cast his silhouette
On the stars of night
The warbling voice
As canary sings
Serenity and
Happiness brings.
Melodic song
Fills the air,
Cheerfulness
He'll happily share.
A silent canary
that had died
slowly decaying inside
unsure if they can fly
not much time left
lost and alone
with no one to help
it dies silently.
golden throat chanteuse
orange-red quill’s sunburst peel…
green chilli pet crave.

The life of a magicians cat is dread
Especially when old spells are misread
He magicked a canary
But alas, O'contrary
I ended up in the darn cage instead
Joe the Yellow Canary
Lives next door to sweet Mary
A frog came in her house
Poor Mary gave a big rouse
Joe gave a shriek like fury
once an old witch from dunderry
would ride on something quite scary
did it sing did it dance
did it wear checkered pants
no twas a fairy canary.
A tone-deaf woman in Tucumcari
made a wish to sing like a canary
Her perpetual sadness
has now turned to gladness
It’s just eat, tweet and be merry!

A clever, caged yellow canary
tricked his foe, a cat big and scary.
He flew out with some luck.
Cat walked in and got stuck.
Silly cat should have been more wary.
There once was a yellow canary sage,
Who trapped a naughty cat in a cage.
With feathers so bright,
It plotted all night,
Till the cat escaped and ate it in rage.
The canary sat atop his cage,
And thought to himself, I got you Paige!
While Paige sat trapped in tight,
Thinking about the fight,
And plotting to kill in angry rage.
Three manic morons: Moe, Curly, Larry
Ante up for a talking canary ~
It attracts boobirds
They cry, 'How absurd' ~
Clever jokers rename her 'Miss Carrie'
Yellow Canary on top of a cage
Rests in hush as it turns another page
From wild slip, it is carefree
Silence is a sight to see
Deep, it thinks that the cat is its hostage

ROLE REVERSAL
A most enterprising canary
Always found the cat very scary
So to turn a new page
Shut the cat in the cage
It’s the cat’s turn now to be wary
I sense a Napoleon complex
As Joe the canary his wings flex
He stretches tall and proud
Squawks and shrieks really loud
At the Seagull who has huge, huge pecs
i have a lovely bright yellow canary
she is always angry and quite contrary
rarely will she do anything
ive never heard her chirp or sing
sharing her cage with the cat makes her wary
Eating sensibly is the name of the game
No more gorging, that's not good for our frame
Getting lithe as a fairy
Singing like a canary
Happy as poop I'm no longer shamed
Knew a young lady named Cherie
Had an attitude that was always merry
Tripped on a stone
Broke a few bones
She certainly didn't sing like a canary
