picnic baskets, boogie boards
storming, stinging, flying
lifeless, stone cold
dead
aluminum paper clip trips alien
fountain pen does a boogie woogie dance
spinning owl scares a pink unicorn
three ideas in two minutes
looking around the room where I write
Some people say “what a crappy day!”
Seems all my vital signs are still clicking away
So I say OOOEEE!
Dance the boogie-woogie
Or let's just swing and sway with Sammy Kaye
Funny bug dances
tapping his toes to the tunes
snapping his fingers
while onlookers laugh at him
then decide to boogie too.

Earth dwellers watch
Through unwashed beards.
What are they doing? One asks.
Bees? Another guesses.
No one dances around like this
Without a bee down their shirt,
Right?
It is always fun to watch
Rocket ship boogie.

Wake up to a waltz
Boogie out of bed
Calypso-on your clothes
Drum-roll downstairs
Carumba 'round the kitchen
Bunny-hop to breakfast
Limbo into lunch
Cha-cha as you chew
~ Mamba as you munch
Blues good if in that mood,
but music is so free
better to pick country,
because sadder stories
bring hope to the hopeless.

savour that dark chocolate --
do a boogie down the street
laugh with the wind
learn to zipline,
wear Hawaiian shirts
or fall in love all over again.
While you're living
spontaneous life happens
so, cradle the moment.

The little one yells “let me take a turn!”

Succulent applies. Sweet pie they will make.

Spring does her dance, at this tree by the lake.
