Premium Member Mushroom Doll Heads
Mushroom doll heads bobble when they walk.
They wear mismatched clothing and barely one sock.
They shriek and they whistle when they try to talk.
Sometimes I wish to put them back under their rock....

Birthday balloon bonanza with a bubble bobble bee
Turquoise, orange and peach spraying off thee
Purple yellow and periwinkle giving a wee wee wee

Argh!
Damn phone alarm.
I gulp haste.
I open my school app - like an eyelid.
Invade my sanctuary, virtual tyranny.
Where's my focus?!
*looking around for my coffee cup*
I feel like a bobble-head....

Outside Comfort Zone
outside comfort zone
activities in an attempt
to build character in order
to change the manner in which
i see the world around me
break the bobble
pop it
watch it deflate
never recreate
such a useless thing again...

Down With It
The Web never rests, nor does our need for connections. We bobble, nod over looming edges, skim and drown, pop up again emoji minds blinking. We’re down with it, but mostly we are just Peter Pans surfing with all the other lost girls and boys.

Let Is Come
free you soul
and let it be
hold you head high
when you fall to knee
you still have strength
this you will see
and when the tears come
know your not me
the hate comes to
nothing is free
let it bobble and boil
you will see
like water you need to be
hold on because
better a empty house
than a bad tenant...

Waiting at the bus stop
a bobble hat fellow rumbles along
sharp turns behind me - hello -
but reaches up to the wall
grabs an apple 80 percent intact
and hobbles away again

a few seconds later he's back again
turns behind me, bends low
and picks up the soggy, abandoned
box of donuts
two inside remaining

successful mission
he wobbles away...

Peaches and Precious
Squinting at a school of gobbledygooks while swallowing
His herpetologies muck'rack ? Across these plains their great
Prairies her dog she waits to gaze and Chuckie holding fast grandioses
Cabbage patch wedded dolls askew, the bobble heads view; phew ? Axiomatic....
Your stench so true; sacrilegious, hogmatic you ? Love's baby knew as, we threw; Sadie....

The Bad Things
the bad things are planted in winter
but they don't bloom until the spring.

i don't have that much ambition.
what i thought was pure affection
turned out to be another obsession.
i never learn my goddamn lesson.

i'm just a bobble head.
make me cry and my eyes turn red.
baby boy, your love is tiring.
and my brain needs some rewiring.

i need to know it's not all in my head....

Unseasonal
Ducks are flying,
mild weather in February
has lured them,
to find and build nests.

The hunters are all taken by surprise,
The beavers are hard at work,
patching and mending rickety dams,
loggers are leaning on their buzz saws.

People are storing bobble hats,
and puffer jackets.

Today it is snowing heavy,
the ducks are heading to Florida.
Bird romance
indefinitely delayed....

Middling Mild
Ducks are up in the air,
it is early - too much
a middling.
Nature lures,
leads us on,
the weather is wrong.

Icy licked stems
are surprised.

Defrosting ants and marmots
patch and mend,
loggers lean on buzz saws.

People take pause,
store bobble hats
and puffer jackets.

Today, to the contrary
the snow is heavy,

any hint of avian romance
is indefinitely delayed.

i’m a poet not a prophet ~ to believe otherwise would be odd

i blur visions of rhyme with latent reason ~ exactly like a god

so many times I’ve felt abandoned ~ desperate for a tiny nod

to see it in my rearview mirror ~ mr bobble head is overawed

                                     #footnote#

i’ve had unexplained interventions in this life ~ agnostic i trod

Please Use Your Blinker
Please use your blinker
Is that too much to ask
Whether you are running right
Are you are turning left

Because in all actuality
We have no idea
What your future holds for us
Inside that bobble head

Please think of others
And we will do the same
As we sit inside our cars
Playing turn signal guessing games

Hoping that these moments
Are not taken up in vain
So make a flick of the wrist on that switch
Before it is too late...

Premium Member The Meeting of the Bobble Heads
Another meeting of the bobble heads
Will hopefully soon adjourn
A motion has been passed
A blogosphere, concern
With their dictionaries in hand
They find some words to use
New business on the floor
To help them fight their blues
With the king up on his soap box
They all now raise their glass
He thinks his words bring wisdom
But they’re really lacking class
This meeting of the minds
Is really just a joke
It’s just another excuse
To stir the soup and poke...

Premium Member Joy To My Ears

Jingling bells bring joy to my ears
Trees are covered with bobble spheres
This quiet night, peace fills the air
A bright white star, blinks with a flare

I follow colored lights in snow
Guided on path of moonlight glow
Sparkling thoughts float within my mind
Hope becomes choice, not hard to find

So I walk within light, in the dark
The angels sing, yes I hark
Joy to my ears, with every song
With love to give, I can't go wrong

Happiness is a bright balloon
On the ceiling of the living room.

Confined in space it can't go far,
A butterfly in a small glass jar.

I watch it bounce and bobble by,
Searching for a big blue sky.

It finds a corner and there it parks.
A puppy dog that lost his barks.

Saddened by this circumstance,
I seize the moment, take a chance.

And guide my friend outside the door.
It's good to see him dance once more!
