i’m a poet not a prophet ~ to believe otherwise would be odd i blur visions of rhyme with latent reason ~ exactly like a god so many times I’ve felt abandoned ~ desperate for a tiny nod to see it in my rearview mirror ~ mr bobble head is overawed #footnote# i’ve had unexplained interventions in this life ~ agnostic i trod By David Kavanagh

Another great piece. A prophet, a foreteller, or a poet with an open mind and talent for us to explore. That’s you David a poet, who manifests poetry with conviction, makes us crave more, you get my praise. hi to mr bobblehead. Curious about these unexplained interventions.

I’m even more curious about them Anaya, because there have been points in my life, when deus ex machina seemed to intervene (in a split second) and deflect certain doom, thanks so much you get a nod from old bobble head in the rear window of my car, cheers David

I enjoyed reading your wonderful Monoku writes. It is good to make one think. That is how one can learn...  Have a blessed day writing away...........................

Absolutely Paula, an open mind goes a long way and costs nothing, narrow mindedness was rampant and encouraged in my past, no agenda here, only free thinking, cheers David

Ya know what, David? When I see that you've posted something (which is not often enough) I close my eyes for a second before I begin reading, wondering if I'll need a balance bar to walk the tightrope you put me on, and hoping that I know what you intended readers to comprehend before I fall to the ground without solving your riddle, get out of the maze you created, or go nuts trying to 'get it.' It's a carpe diem moment when I do, and you let me know in your comment. ;-)

Thanks again Lin, oh don’t ever worry about deciphering my posts, always some wriggle room goes on in an open minded head, a closed mind would never get them anyway, kudos to you for taking the time to peel away the layers, :)

Sometimes I enjoy the intelligent commentary in your comment thread as much as the poem itself, although it creates a high bar. I love that you walk a line that even stating 'exactly like a god' feels balanced in your hands and without self grandeur - as Paul states, there is little difference objectively speaking (for debate on divine information sources of course). So enjoyable to sit and ponder - I also like throwing thoughts out there and seeing what people make if it.

Indeed Dilly the comment thread can bring a whole different dimension to the poem itself, even one the writer might never have seen or intended, of course when I say ‘exactly like a god’ it’s a balanced agnostic interpretation, just like the monoku; You are the default poet for throwing out thoughts, especially the passing ones that most of us miss or cannot express, cheers David

In variant shades of gray, you paint what you say. With the color of brain matter you splatter rhyming Monoku on pages that sometimes takes ages to decipher. Whether your head bobbles to free itself of the burdens of thought, nods to tempt your readers, or explodes to free itself... keep spitting theses gems out. No doubt you have the knack, even in a footnote, you wrote one!

Heya Lin, I think my love of cryptic crossword puzzles overspills into my monokus, the compiler never likes to give the game away without tempting the solver, I think this one needed the footnote just to add a little truth, I never dismiss anything when it comes to creation, and perhaps there is more than one way of solving the puzzle, thanks so much for your kind comment, cheers David

I thought the position of poet and prophet were interchangeable....both are fed by imagination, one attributes it to the Muse, the other to the Divine. A clever and entertaining poem David..your work never gives the brain a restful break my friend....a compliment. Cheers, Paul

I cannot keep all this stuff to myself Paul, a guy could go insane, perhaps sharing it lessens the load, lol! I think Mr bobble head is nodding, perhaps not, I really can’t tell anymore, such is life, cheers David
