Not Really a Poem At All

No one noticed as the blackness consumed me;
No one noticed when I cried;
No one noticed anything at all.
Until I died.
Form:

Unflappable

Stars seem to twinkle yet
remain unflappable until
they reincarnate as massive
points of blackness - or so
they seem to be...

Monophobia

Blackness above is
soundless, its darkness echoes
alone, and afraid
would it deride my fears as
one by one they disappear.

Today I'M Going Dark

Today I'm going dark.
Trying not to fall apart..

Within my mind a shadow lights a spark,
and burns a blackness in my heart.

Depression

Darkness
blackness
sorrow, despair and no one to care.
Can't eat
can't sleep
can'tsmile
can't love me and I want to cry.
Darkness
Form:

Dive Down Deep

Dive down deep,
search form y soul,
bring me down,
dig my hole,
lead me to see myself awake,
i fall into blackness to long a reviving shake

Somewhere High

Somewhere high among the moon and stars
   On wings that tremble not
Silent wish doth rush by
Amid the blackness of the night

Above your sleeping head

Premium Member Engulfed

This beautiful rose She cries as the dark abyss Engulfs her moment Her flaming petals Screaming as combustion takes The blackness confirms
Form: Haiku

Escape

Echoes that bounce sting my ears,
crying one of life's reality of tears,
Never shall they see, what I've become,
I've went to where the blackness is from.
Form:

Death Himself

A mother
Could never
Bury her kin
Unless her herself
Was smothered in
The smell and
Blinded by the
Blackness and was
Sent a letter from
Death himself.

Premium Member Lightning In the Night

Sky-to-land flashes,
                             Bright boughs clawing through blackness,
                                         Nude tree dives headfirst.
Form: Haiku

Premium Member Evening Resonances

Guitar and vibraphone
sing with restrained joy.

Night gently arrives.

A few stars
pierce the murky
overhead blackness.

Small warm breezes.

Peace.

What Can Be Found There

What can be found there inside my soul
Only blackness
For No Light can penetrate

All pieces of Hope
Seem to have been stolen
To all pieces of Love's chagrin

Black Face and White Mine

your roots
you need to need
and trace
you lose your taste
for your race
do be blind
let your blackness shine
in this case
some of us have
BLACK FACE AND WHITE MIND

Premium Member Darken

DARKEN

not seen
empty

no light
lost sight

can't see
mid night

tempest
no light

frozen
blackness

not lit
darken

Sunset slipping behind the blazing hillside
Curtain falling down on the dying daylight
Purple twilight drowning in streams of blackness
Beneath the moonlight.

Light To Dark (Diamante Antonym)

Light

flourescent, incandsecent

Glowing, burning, illuminating

Guides like a star, Shooting through the sky

Reaching, longing, ending

Shadows, blackness

Dark

Halloween Poem # 13

As the blackness spins
   Ghouls and goblins skulk about
      'Tis a night of fear
Stay inside and lock your doors
Don't get caught out in the dark!

The Curtains of Solomon

still
for the glory of
our
blackness
to fulfill our destiny
as beautiful as
the
curtains of Solomon
expressed in our skin color
as free as the wind
look what God has done

Talebearer

The dawn winks
rolling away
the blinking blackness
welcoming the peeping sun
conveying a million eyes
to all and sundry
as the day
commence his journey
Form:

The Abyss

I gaze up
Into the Abyss of darkness,
The expanse of blackness.
And see their smiling faces gazing back at me.
Shining, beaming,
Glowing, gleaming.
I'm glad to
Know
There are stars.
Form:

Bliss

emotionless senses blind to the world,
pain pulling to this abyss of emptiness,
comfort in this blackness.
no love.
nothing raw.
no baggage to brawl.
for this abyss is my place of bliss.

Its Black History Time

its that time
to let you blackness shine
to remember the pass
it was a hard task
some ran out of gas
walking the pickett line
was treated unkind
so to remind
you too
ITS BLACK HISTORY TIME
