Premium Member Oasis

Ocean in eyes of thirst
Opulent tongue puddle
Oz in desert, so green
Orchestra of rich falls
Orion’s Belt bistro
Oozing delectables
Oasis ovation

Dangers of Pensioner Dating

A seventy year old couple on a romantic date,
Were at a bistro eating seafood crepe,
Feeling so good, a kiss they sought,
Locking mouths their false teeth got caught,
And both sets fell onto the plate.

A Harmonious Swirl

Fashion house store, jeweller
Bistro, awned tasteful -
Spin out each of your light's
Burnt orange, tactful

This chill eve's way, waist-wrapped
Mists two, affianced.
For this one fine purpose;
Conspicuous doth
Show up, honours a love.
Soft, warm, now enhanced.

i found the perfect little table
in the perfect cozy corner
in the perfect quirky bistro
in the perfect part of town

as i head out on my merry way
they may as well cordon off the area
'cause when i get there ~ god help
anyone who may be sitting in that spot

Premium Member April shower

Café tables on terrasse drenched in rain ~
everyone’s indoor as if on hold
waiting impatiently for the sun to come out.

April showers bring may flowers
but we aren't happy to pay the price ~
meanwhile the rain stubbornly won't let up.

Bistro Boheme - a French poetry band that sets old classics into song

How does it sound when Rimbaud rocks and Baudelaire has got the Blues?
When Verlaine vibes to the beat and Apollinaire to arpeggios?
Bistro Bohème tries to answer these questions!
We are a French poetry band, all living together in the same Berlin flatshare.

Please check us out on Spotify or YouTube :)

Love,
Bistro Bohème

Cowboy Up

wow, you look really great
I made dinner reservations for eight
this quaint little Italian bistro
that not to too many know

let me buckle you in
let's let this night begin
you have the greenest eyes
that's the first thing I summised

here, put on my coat
I'll put up the window
are you warm enough
this cowboy can cowboy up

Frances Runs Away

Frances exits the bistro.
Her napkin falling
onto the tablecloth,
it flutters down in slow motion;
a snow-goose onto a red desert.

‘Not a good way to break-up Frances,
not cool’.

On the pavement, high-heels clacking.
Frances running,
the backs of her heels bleed,
tendons bolting her onward.

On hind legs
a restaurant chair tries to follow.
A thunderclap
as the napkin lands.

Premium Member Acoustics

Acoustics in this bistro
the thing you cannot see
how neighbour’s voices carry
that murmur in the background
what gives vibe to the place
its unique ambiance
the height of ceilings
the material voices bounce off
like the cavernous echo of rock
or cozy hush of brick
the secret je ne sais quoi
that hooks you and
keeps you coming back
acoustics so often overlooked

Creating Stories Untold

A bistro in Bryanston uptown,
Delicious tastes abound.
With dishes so fine,
In candlelight shine,
A culinary treasure is found!

In the kitchen, Chef Lanser is king,
With a ladle, a spatula swing.
His creations divine,
Matching flavours with wine,
A culinary dance is taking wing!

In glasses, L'Avenir we shall pour,
A wine to adore and explore.
With aromas so bold,
Creating stories untold,
A sip of the future in store!

Premium Member O'You

A cup of coffee
A moment to share
A sunlit bistro
You met me there
And we talked
And we talked
For hours we talked
Of all the double dares
 a fresh knew love
You were willing to share
I agreed
Looked around
And kissed your ear
For hours upon hours
Locked in a stare
Twenty years have passed
And I still meet you here
A cup of coffee
A moment to share
All the memories abound
A true love affair

Home Sweet Home

Everyone should have
a home to love
a place so safe
morning mist, blankets thick

When we wander out
in the world today
as visitors, manners politely abided by
never moaning insults loudly cried

If you wish to cajole
and complain
lets send you off to bistro stars
on the very next star-ship plane

travelers should always smile
treading softy on Persian carpet
quiet is
the voice that observes new ways

thus deceit discarded, buried
