Insomnia,
Besets the darkness.
While the sultans of slumber caress my iris
To usher a sweet, but faint nightmare,
From pleasant dream to pleasant dreams.

Beware!
Because befriending beasts
Besets bad boys.
Being bad beguiles beautiful brides
But being bold bedevils bimbos
Brave bigots beseeches beliefs
But being a barging bard is being brief

I do not know?
Whom Do You Trust
Short Poem: by Miracle Man

Whatever besets me or my day entails,
I’ll keep the faith knowing God prevails.
By trusting in HIM I can forego details,
my trust is in Him for HE never fails.

When words fail me
When sleep escapes me
When troubles torment me
I cling to the Almighty
Though words fail me
Though she forsakes me
Though memories maim me
I cling to the Almighty
When words fail me
When grief besets me
When trials torment me
I cling to the Almighty

Here in the Sun, Spring is receding
Winter is born in me
Your witchcraft besets me
The cold glazes my eyes
The green glares white
The clouds are cemented
There we are again
Longing for the equinox of our intentions
Pull me forward from this
Push me back into us
Divide me from this discontent
Shake this frost
Warm my bones with a September smile

Don’t know that I have
a favorite season
I mean, Spring is quite
nice, if you don’t mind
sneezin’
Summer, warmly teasing!
Till sunburn besets the host,
unarguably not pleasing
Winter skiing, a jet stream
blast! Providing the trunk of
a tree is not your speedy last
Which leads me to autumn
most worthless of all,
probably why poets write
so much of the fall….

You motormouths, that pull the strings of life,
Marionettes of Pied that seek confusion.
Your piper teeth are chattering with strife,
Like a Jedi, with wave of hand delusion
“Come one! Come all!” the ringleader twists knife.
The press buries the truth, besets illusion.
The circus clown smiles whilst Hans-ing fairy whales,
Marionettes of Pied with Moby-Dick-sized tales.
