Silence Please

one two three
keep counting
then lose track

exhaustion
is a way
for release

simpler is
be quiet
bliss fills us

still here

I may be quiet
I'm still here

I may be missing
I'm still here

I may be busy
I'm still here

Whenever you need me
I'm still here

Pea Pot Patty

There once was a woman named Patty.
Who certainly was very chatty.
Told to be quiet.
Said she would try it.
But felt that they were being catty.

Do Nothing

silence speaks
be quiet
please listen

Be Quiet

Take time out and
Be quiet, listen to
Your inner self
Tune the noise of
Everyday life out and
Just listen to the voice
It will help you to
Solve any problem

Loud Laughing Star

There once was a loud laughing star
Whose laugh was hardiest of har-hars,
She was asked to be quiet
Which she thought was a riot,
So they made her into a headlight for cars.

Blip

This is a short poem.
Not a long one like the rest.
(not haiku)
This is about time,
and saying a lot in a small space.
Updates to follow.
Be quiet... (calm)

Do Not Wake the Sleeping Sun

the fanciest sleeping sun I have ever seen
is sitting on a fence outside, in my meadow green.
I love everything about her, she has an acrylic sheen.
Shh! Be quiet or you’ll wake her said my friend the queen.

Silence

Today I'm silent
because I don't want to be violent
so today I'm mute
and I don't know if it's cute
I just want to be quiet
so please don't deny it
I don't know how you see me
but I'm simply not screaming

Bedtime Prayer For Children

Bedtime Prayer For Children

It's time for small voices to be quiet and still.
It's time for the stars to give us a thrill.
If you're afraid, just remember this prayer.
When you open your eyes, I will be here.

Junco

You see me sitting in silence, but never ask what I’ve lost to be quiet.
I smile like a habit — behind it, a heart held together with breath.
The shadows walk with me kindly, hiding the parts I can’t bear to show.

Teachers Thoughts

Teachers Thoughts

Outrageous
Screams that is so loud
Manifesting in hallways
Time to calm boys, girls down quietly
Gather them in the hallway
One, two, three so loud
Be quiet!

Brilliance In a Nutshell

Brilliance in a nutshell

is to be the best you whom you can imagine

Brilliance is listening to your heart

Brilliance is following your guides

Brilliance is readily seen if you can be quiet enough to do it.

Be Quiet

Be Quiet
By Franklin Price
7/26/2015

Be quiet when helping
the sad or forlorn.
It's not in good taste
to blow your own horn

If you did a good deed,
just for others to see,
you are not the person,
that you ought to be.

Friendship

Friendship
I never knew it felt this good
To have someone to talk loud to
or just be quiet with
watch old movies
and share your secrets
I never knew I never knew
It could feel so good
to just have someone I can be me with

31st Time I'M 39

I'm a social guy
  who used to be shy
I talk so much, I put my tongue on a diet
hard to believe that I used to be quiet

I got so darned fat
  only my feet are flat
Glad that 39's not very old
at least, that's what I'm told

Croppin'

Plow the ground,
Plant your seeds,
But don't just sit around,
Gracefully get down on your knees.

Dreams are now set to manifest,
So be quiet during this time.
Prepare the table for the harvest,
Release all worries from the mind.

Silent Cry

A battered child I am;
				Bruised all over my frail body;
I have longed to be cared for
And yet they choose to ignore.

				My pleadings are useless;
				My cries won’t help.
				Be quiet, heart!
				Let silence be your drug.
