There once was a loud laughing star
Whose laugh was hardiest of har-hars,
She was asked to be quiet
Which she thought was a riot,
So they made her into a headlight for cars.

the fanciest sleeping sun I have ever seen
is sitting on a fence outside, in my meadow green.
I love everything about her, she has an acrylic sheen.
Shh! Be quiet or you’ll wake her said my friend the queen.

It's time for small voices to be quiet and still.
It's time for the stars to give us a thrill.
If you're afraid, just remember this prayer.
When you open your eyes, I will be here.
You see me sitting in silence, but never ask what I’ve lost to be quiet.
I smile like a habit — behind it, a heart held together with breath.
