Premium Member Savory Seduction
rub my butt with spices
baste my breasts with olive oil
slather my wings and things with sauce
butter my thighs, slow broil

ah, the savory delights of a summer BBQ!...

Find Pleasing To Our Taste
Find Pleasing To Our Taste

When we find it pleasing to our taste,
Was always best each time we baste,
To each delight,
Day and night;
We have continued doing it with haste.

Premium Member Souper Thankful
So thankful for some soup —
sipped, delightfully tasted.
As the turkey in buttery baste
infuses the family room,
I think of my “buds”,
those wonderful poets
who glaze my senses
throughout the year.
Delicious!

Happy Thanksgiving Y’all!

A Silent Morning
The colors
of a sea, a distant sail
on its edge.

A pearly flush.
The coast of an elegant
cloud, the stretch

of a snowy
egret. The glide of a black-
necked swan. Dusk.

The butter
hues that baste the terrace,
in late afternoon:

the graceful
sunlight that lifts the diamond
wings, of Spring....

Vendetta formed in words and a hot paste
Intends to subject a foe to a baste
Teeth-tearing, throwing the pieces to waste
Read for someone to have a broken waste
Incredible lynching on the banned caste
Or verbal attacks, flying without haste
Letter of hatred giving a sour taste...

Egg-Stravaganza of Emotions
Your love scrambled my heart as if it were a three egg omelet

Breaking the shell of my soul till it crumbled

I am trying so hard just to forget

 My inner self tumbled, bumbled

 I felt shuffled

 I feel ruffled

I would rather baste than forget

Or fry if our times you regret

 My love muffled

 My emotions coupled

 Left with no appeal

Spending time, letting my soul heal...

Premium Member Tears Taste
In the midst of weeping with a salty aftertaste. There is a warm embrace of light, not waste. Some stories are cloaked in frantic haste. This is emerging in the midst of the chaste. Lost to history, the tales of heroes and baste. I'd wish to walk to the beach and lambaste. While immersed in the eons-spanning waist. The place of plentiful smiles and fish paste.

What We Do To Each Other
We soak
We baste
We waste
We strain
Let's take care
Not to drain
Each other

We chop
We slice
We dice
Filet and sautee
Let's take care
What we say
To each other

We fire
We stoke
We smoke
We learn
Let's take care
Not to burn
Each other

We grill
We broil
We boil
Stew and barbeque
Let's take care
What we do
To each other

We fare
We wine
We dine
We fume
Let's take care
Not to consume
Each other...

There was a young hare, with way too much hair. His fur snagged a grate, a fact not so great. But he couldn’t bear to shave himself bare, so he’ll have to wait till he loses weight. I do not know when pride ever did win. Escape before then? His chances were thin. The process, slow paced when firm stuck like paste; held up by his waist, it seemed such a waste. On what’s this stew based? Hare braised in a baste…

Premium Member Bastet the Egyptian Goddess
Dog sits staring at Bastet
She is regal
Her gold collar majestic
We are both mesmerized subjects
Her minions – the dog and I
Her silent subtle commands
Are quickly answered
We bring her nip and her drink
We have both sensed the deep wrath
That is the undercurrent of this Egyptian cat
More powerful than a sand storm
More royal than any pharaoh ancient or otherwise
Baste sits, plotting our demise, designing our tombs.
The dog and I shudder....

Não seja mais para ti que o pedestal;
No qual levante a estátua do teu ser....

She
Strawberry blond

cats' eyes and freckled breasts

a voice of spiders web and silk

In my secret place

the love I've made to you transcends

the fact I never have

or ever will

taste the nectar of your flower

or baste in your sweet sweat,

spit, you, and warmth

If you could take

the part of me that belongs to you

and hold it in your hand

You would know

I loved you before I saw you

and I love you now

the way water loves stone...

I feel it in my hips,
I feel it in my hands.
I hate the drying lips,
I hate the swollen glands.

The wrinkling of my skin,
The bags under my eyes.
The disappearing grin,
Comes as no surprise.

No more can I taste,
No more can I savor.
The chicken that I baste,
Has lost all its flavor.

Oh, my aching back.
Oh, my tired bones.
Oh, my knuckles crack.
Oh, my constant groans.

The times that I regret.
The times I don't recall.
One thing I need to get,
A complete overhaul....
