a dolphin i hardly knew

a pot of jellyfish stew

a seahorse swims by

a beer barreled pie

a deep sea fish barbecue.

Delusional

There once was a nutter quite frightful
Who spent so much time being spiteful
   When confronted with truth
   Completely debunking her sleuth
She barreled into delusions most delightful!
Form: Limerick

Gun

Does not always smell gunpowder
Even
The license Double-barreled shotgun
Hanging with the deer
on the wall
But if the gun
Be translated into any language alive.
The smell of death

Confessions of a Double Barreled Drama Queen

(just kidding, maybe should be titled: H to O)

career plan

He wants to be a pool boy
sitting round the pond
with a leather-tan employer
wearing nothing but her blonde.

when too little is not enough

He wanted to be a pool boy
so he wore a string.
She fired him ‘cause it covered
just one tiny thing.

So on we go
Toward that last
Great show
Kneeling down
Is far from this
As is a wedding kiss
This a journey
To the great beyond
Not trapped in time
Or a barreled soul
It’ll all make sense
Mistakes have purpose
And our lives,
Our lives
Can reach
Infinity
Traveling through
All these uncounted
Realities

A Door Locked Is a Gun Cocked

A door with a strong key locked
Is a room outrightly blocked!
So, in which space had folks flocked
When darkest eleven clocked?

Not a door at which one knocked,
For stubborn key one has mocked:
The picture: a room with wares stocked
By one who had a ship docked,
All its windows well-shuttered
For a privacy not shattered…

A door with a strong key locked
Is a double-barreled gun cocked.

Five Year Old Logic

FIVE YEAR OLD LOGIC

Earned a reward for yard-work with the mowlawner,
And kitchen work with the washdisher.
Then took a shower and used special hairpoo:
Went to theatre to see a performance of the Cracknutter Suite,

Stop Poking My Chicken Poop

I have a rifle,
you have a double-barreled shotgun -
you're just old fashioned that way.

The cat, the black and white cat,
is watching everything from the barn.

I am just letting you know
that we don't have to fight it out like this,
even though your fence-line
is clearly 2 inches over my spread!

The cat is considering moving to town.

Why don't you go back
to where you came from,
over there –
2 inches away.
