Face Book Banking

I went to the bank for some cash
But tellers were having a gnash
The ATM died
The Manager cried
And said he'd be back in a flash

Harry Connick, Junior

Should have been there sooner

American Idol’s ratings had been tanking

But now on his humor they’re banking

Banking On Frank

A flatulent codger named Frank Passed wind as he queued in the bank When he made his deposit He shuffled like a hobbit The stench as he left was so rank 4/19/18

The Banking Rate

The banking rate
is like a young lady
one day low and promising
next day
the value rises with several per cent
and a question
at the dance floor
by the river will be
can I get a loan?

Personal Banking

I went to my bank yesterday
As I went to work, it’s on my way
I said to the cashier Miss Valance
“Hello can you check my balance”
She replied “yes certainly Mr. Dover”
Then walked round and pushed me over

Getting You Through

People can be jealous of you
Not because you are rich
But they envy you true
For you look calm and peach.

If you want a beautiful life
Invest and capitalize on it
Don't regret on banking strife
You'll never lose anything fret.

Henry Ford - a Poet Who Didn'T Know It

It is well enough that people of the nation,
do not understand our banking,
and monetary system,
for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution,
before tomorrow morning.

- Henry Ford, a corporate poet,
who didn't even know it.

Fevered Dusk

Comes the fevered dusk A sultry breeze across skin banking sun's embers A brief respite from the heat of which to sip and gaze stars

Underwater Banking

that bank teller in her glass cubicle,

             pretty mermaid in a submersible,

gives you that vague feeling underwater

that divers with checks would swim about her,

               never minding watery obstacle,

           bank clients' delight, lovely spectacle!

Gnomes

Garden decorations
Generally bearded;
Guardians of treasures,
German speaking, it’s said.
Groomed to perfection by
Goblins, fairies and elves,
Gnomes rule the banking world!

Spendthrift-Skinflint

Spendthrift...Skinflint

                              spendthrift
                       extravagant, wasteful
                  buying, shopping, squandering
               presents, parcels, deposits, interest,
                    counting, banking, hoarding
                            tightfisted, miserly
                                    skinflint

Eternal String

The lonely string-less kite, has no ambitions like a chartered flight, yet she soars, aimless but high. Fighting snarling trees, And dark electric lines, It s a peek-a-boo with death, Banking on wind's soft breath. Cut off from a mere mortal’s hand, Her vagabond life is short, But the flaps of freedom is dearer, Than the string of eternity.

Unchanging

If everyone truly understood our banking and money systems,
there would be an unprecedented global unified uprising,
a full blown out worldwide scale revolution,
before tomorrow morning.
Unfortunately, many don't bother with higher learning,
so the powers that be who rule the monetary systems,
continue ruling over all of us, never questioned, unchanging.

Meltdown

Absolutely contented people,
Banking collapse in America,
Dropped like a bullock, lay like a block,
Lost to meltdown.

Umpteen colossal buildings,
Symbol and homage to science,
Devastating earthquake , tumbled down,
Lost to meltdown .

Avid bewildered desires,
Rising high with a dash but going adrift,
Bemused their zing to malady prostration,
Lost to meltdown.

The Gravy Train-A Parable

I received a golden hello
But nothing of banking I know

On commodities, the future I bet
For large bonuses each year,to net

Too soon the 'bubble' has burst
Of course, everyone else, has come off worse

But I do not reap what I sow
They gave me parachute payout & pension to go

Global finances,crash into debt
Yet still I have no regrets ...(yet !)

Faux Celebrity

People often talk about
the heat and torture of hell
I'm currently living in one
with the only excitement here daily
is the Courthouse Bell

Politics hidden like a stitch
People wearing costumes camouflaged
to look like the rich

Last names worn as a badge of fame
Fake celebrities walking amongst
the poor people
While their banking accounts are the same

Banking Hall

The queue has moved
Am at the counter now,
I hand over my stash of cash.
“good morning” she says,
I had lost the greeting culture.
Such warmth.

Sifting through the notes
With her silken smooth fingers,
Sorting, straightening bent ears,
Stashing in safe drawer,
I wish she would
Sort out my heart
And keep it safe in a closet.
Only she would access!

More Precious Than Gold

The script of experience,
endorsing our wills
banking our choices,
paying our bills

Crediting our memory
for what lies ahead
debentures of faith
the black and the red

A ledger retallied,
both columns in sync
the plus and the minus,
indelible ink

Its summary left open,
all errors erased
with loans to push forward
—new funding in place

Chase the Blues Away

I’m banking on a sunshiney day
That will race my blues away
I’m looking for the sun
And want the good times begun

I’m looking for my friends
The ones who will be there to the end
I’m banking it will turn out fine
As I raise my glass of wine

For I’m banking on a sun shiney day
There will be no clouds of grey
So get your smile a workin’ true
The first bit is up to you.

Trouble Mind

Tick Tock Tick Tock
Racing around like the hands of a clock.
Oscillating about with no rhyme nor reason.
Undoubtedly attempting to control me.
Banking on immediate changes
Laughing as you make me scream
Emphatically forcing yourself upon me

Mystifying my decisions as only you can
Instilling uncertainty and definitely hesitation
Never looking back to lend a hand
Doing as you wish hoping I understand.

Reality Fraud

Starting to question
if reality is real
Society seated in a medicine cabinet
so nobody has to feel

The world has convinced the truth to lie
Manufactured tears produced
so no one has to cry
Everyone banking off yesterday's credit
so nobody has to go out and try

Walking plastic seems to be fine
Cowards choosing surgery
to put in a spine

I stay real and continue to live
You sold out
and refused to give
