My Toy Baby Grand
I remember those black and white keys.
It's a memory of great glee.
I played with it constantly---
sitting on a stool so mini.
To stop playing it there was no such fee.
It was the best toy my mom ever gave me.
Although it's now gone and just a memory,
I was in love with my piano so completely....

Concert Bound
As she sat down,
and placed her hands,
upon the keys,
of her Baby Grand.

The room was filled,
with heavenly sounds,
this child was surely,
concert bound.

All her neighbors,
gathered around,
not an empty place,
could be found.

She loved her piano,
and she loved to play,
her music lives on,
to this very day....

Reverse this polarity, my hormonal engine
Playing my body like a baby grand
Rough and rugged, Jerry Lee Lewis
Succumbs to Louis Armstrong in Platinum
Blues verses boogy woogy
An invariable blender, shaken not stirred
Keeping me up nights
Tapping my toes to the teardrops

The notes move with the pumping of my heart
Inspiring me to approach things with a new start
I love the piano, as it always soothes me
Takes me away to special places I want to be
My soul will always embrace the sweet melody
Help me discover the new things I want to see
I’d love to have a white baby grand someday
Something remains with me for my dream to stay

Massive Blanket Effervescence
massive blanket effervescence
perfect path back to divine
baby grand piano rhythm day
the perfect time to watch the way you sway
colors of love are like a warm soup blizzard day
i am stuck in the comforting, cozy house of your heart
never wanting to leave
too bad tomorrow will be monday one day,
but for right now....we just got here....so let's just enjoy the green day debut of each other...

Dedicated to my baby Grand-daughter Rhiannon

precious little angel
a gift from up above

someone sent you to us
to kiss and hug and love

I kiss your little fingers
I kiss your little toes

I kiss your little dimples
on your cheeks next to your nose

it is twilight time sweet baby
lay back and close your eyes

dream dreams of happy things
and lullaby's sweet sighs

                good night......

We'Ll Definitely Be Back
Glissandos
with a twist of tangy lime
arpeggios
in starched cuffs and gleaming buttons
sparkle from the ivories
of a Baldwin baby grand
leaving the root notes
for the double bass to play

It's honey
in be-bop
pure rich amber honey
with a cinnamon stick
and a drop of syncopation
blending in soft beats
of a hi-hat
gentle brushes on a tom

A second round
of drinks arrives
as conversations hush
and candles flicker

Our new favorite diner
with smooth live jazz
on Wednesdays...
