Blue Shoes

I am so, so blue...
for I lost a love with you,

I walk by myself

wondering, "What did I do!"

Good Paul Doesn'T Wangle

P-aul does not wangle,
A-s he gets ticket for the show;
U-sing not clever methods,
L-ine he falls into to follow.

W-hen twenty-fifth September comes
A-ll he needs is a nice angle;
N-o room for devious manner,
G-ood Paul doesn't wangle.

Sweet Desire

George Aul

Early in the year, birds chirp a song
to the couples who show us love,
the sweet kiss of desire
is prominent in Spring;
the touching of lips
in Earthly time
reminds us
of truth -
love.

Pure Evil

The darkened chambers pierce the veil of sanity,
cold lifeless air surrounds and crushes like a vice,
eerie silence cannot muffle the wailing voices entombed,
death by evil, pure evil, permeates the flesh.

Piggie Toes

I wear very uncomfortable steel-toed boots all night long,
during the daylight hours, my feet cool in the soft grass at home...
I desperately need to find a nice, seated office job.

The Real Trickster

I thought I'd play a trick
on my kid sister Brooke,
she said that it was sick
and stuck me up on this hook -
that's why I have such a sad look.

My trick was funny , so I thought -
I ate her dish of ice cream,
but Brooke got mad and said "I could rot,"
it was then I let out a scream...
Brooke just looked up laughing - boy, is she mean!

July Rain

Every now and then,
a tear appears in my eye
when I think back
of beautiful you and July.

You were mine once,
but I lost you in the fray;
my head was hung low
when you set your wedding day.

I knew you looked stunning
in your white gown and train;
after that, my days were
filled with cold, driven rain.

You are always in my eye,
it should have been us that July.

This Feeling

I reach for you in the night...
your smooth, silky skin - I touch,
I hold you so ever close
with the feeling I love so much.

The warmth of your body
heightens my senses,
the look in your eyes
eliminates my defenses.

A night of passion
we make all our own,
the love we share
I can never bemoan.

Our lives once separate
are now intertwined,
you and your love
are always on my mind.

Lost Ones

Fire on the mountain and smoke in the sky,
red embers floating then settling in dry timber
crackling like crunching bones goes on forever
howling in the distance of lost homes, lost ones
thick charred air choking, clogging breathing
throats singed, black blood emerging
closer and hotter, confusion, no way out
fate deciding its own course
angry nature consumes her evening meal.
