Sex Education

A common Kama Sutra pose
Assumes men have a garden hose
When one is rigid
The woman frigid
And checking which way the wind blows

Free Will

most everyone
assumes that we have free will
I guess I mostly agree
but what free will exists when
we can't tell salt from sugar?
maybe acts of charity. . .

Striving To Be

Striving to be God like Man assumes responsibilities far beyond his limitations of space and time!

Loudly Play

How come our neighbor two doors away Assumes we like his music, did he take a survey An assault on my ears It brings me to tears Must be a law stating “you must not loudly play”

The Wounded Cry of Art

Our art grew twisted and broken.
Horrifying.
Simple to the point of contempt.
Unclear by intention.

For it is dying ...
Dying to the demands of reason
that assumes all can be understood.

I Let You In

the chair assumes its responsibility
the edge of my vision has another idea
red drops of love sweep across the table
significant shapes creep into the linens
the door began to unhinge
and the windows clamor at your approach

Is Tanka a Poem

Is Tanka a poem

We the classless
seek no revolution only fairness
we like quality
a well-balanced diet
and cold German lager.
The stinking rich
one assumes they do not bath
can continue to pong
we seek no egalitarianism
only German lager.

Many Moons

Many Moons

Many moons have affected my way of life
From conflicts to divine meetings
To when I choose to say goodbye
I’m always pulled in the direction of what seems most right
When listening to the many moons
And the thousand faces she assumes

The Dream

She closes her eyes...
and slips into slumber.
She assumes she’s awake
and begins to wonder.

Her thoughts unravel,
her mind drifts far.
She screams into silence,
alone in the dark.

The pain returns,
but she swears it’s fake.
She only wishes
they’d all go away.

Watching

All along the river
   Stand little men of sand

Watching, watching

This river run so deep

With swells so high
   To bathe their very souls

And, oh, so curious
   From above

On wings of
   Golden feathers wide

Great bird of prey
   Assumes his pose

Aware of ever growing tide

Tanka Like

Tanka like

We the classless
seek no revolution, only fairness.
We like quality
a well- balanced diet
And cold German pilsner.
The stinking rich,
one assumes they do not have bath often,
can continue to pong.
We seek no egalitarianism
but cold German lager
and a comma -less life.

Yellow Creatures Minions

A
Small
Creature
And pill like
Describe the heroes
That follow an evil leader
Until one day, a trio decided to venture
To find out a new overseer that assumes the control of their community

Presumptuous Assumption

he presumes that people find him unassuming

                    and about his humility he keeps on boasting;

                                       looks down his nose

                                           at you and those

he assumes as presumptuous, as assuming !

Fecklessly Daliesque

Likes to Dali herself up whilst reading,
assumes abstract designs will enhance
the benignly inartistic life story she's writ,
can scarcely sit through her own tediously
scripted fecklessly poetical verses moreover
embittered embellishments 'tween the blank
spaces of her once upon a failed phantasma

Shopping For Bread

This should be easy
Store Baked? (assumes better)
Brand Name? (assumes integrity)

Store baked:
39 lines of ingredients
4 of those lines real food

Brand names:
Same as above, but
Ahhh!
Found!

A brand from Milwaukee
(rye)
4- lines
Edible ingredients!

Nice slice of spam
Perfect!

An Embarrassing Moment

a neighbour takes umbrage at his own narrowness then vents rage on us who so witnessed momentary flicker of flame there is no judgment and yet the aspect that so clings assumes ownership quite delusional of course and therein lies the dilemma we opt to be still fanning not the fire

Assumption

To assume is to judge
to accuse based on assumption
is incompetent.
Assumption without full knowledge
creates friction.
Choosing ones words carefully
shows respect and responsibility
as well as charactor.
An individual whom assumes and takes quick
action upon that assumption projects
insecurity within ones self.
Never Assume.

Flame of Awareness

Our earth life vessel
assumes an identity
for our brief sojourn,
helping us to navigate
treacherous terrain,
choppy seas on moonless nights,
for which we’re thankful,
whilst at all times self-aware,
of the light of Self,
which we were, are and will be,
for all time to come,
so merely as a witness,
we embrace and release love.

Sermon In the Sheets

If he exists or not is not the point
It is faith that keeps us on
Words from pops, words of soul
So every Sunday is church day
But the preacher has me in knots
He assumes he exists and that's the point
My suspension of disbelief is needed most
The narratives are wise, the stories tight
But I met God and I don't think he is him

Dog People

Everybody assumes

you like dogs

especially their dog

sprung from its tether

breaking for you

this morning

all a-scud over the gravel

propelled by yeasty, toothy

gushing grins

homing in on you over there

	fossilized, frozen by

	by the dumpster’s Gape,

	one less

	cat person

the world won’t miss.

Bliss energised stillness

The kundalini moves in form as She likes,
wherein we are but a humble receptor
and as in time dissolved stillness rapture spikes,
soma nectar pierces each body vector,
so there is no cause for us to look askance,
when the navel chakra assumes a bliss stance,
for node any, we have no say in this play,
of divine magnetism rising day by day.

Two Worlds

I breathe in today
And exhale my past
Neither defines my existence
A ghost with flesh assumes me
Grasping perceived truth in every
Frailty of human condition
Only admission of failure is real
Sharing this emotion with another
Brings me peace
A smile between two who know
Sets me free to search my soul
For the happiness I seek

Genesis of delusion

All dreams are unreal and yet they appear,
wherein ego assumes a specific role,
so knowing this, no object to us is dear,
save God’s boundless love and light, which we extol.
In deep sleep each night, we return to our home,
a singularity, where throbs the gong Om
but on waking up in this domain dual,
delusion grips us, unless love’s our fuel.

The Biggest Bumblebee

I saw the biggest bumblebee
That I have ever seen
And so I guessed, quite naturally,
It must have been the queen.

She hovered, with some smaller bees,
Above some garden blooms,
Demanding some obeisance
From the workers, one assumes.

But since I’m not an expert,
Maybe she was not in charge
And they were all acquaintances
With one just extra large.
