As we create machines
We slowly become them
As they slowly become us

how can heartless conjure magic meant to be bled by a broken heart?
A/N: For the Monoku contest Why I Abhor AI Generated Poems.
In this age of abandoned libraries
and split-second answers
my biggest rebellion
is thought-
art created by a soul
for a soul
artificial intelligence
is a perfect mind
for
in this world and
in these times
its being and knowing
all about the artificial
and nothing rhymes
Scripted is the flow of time
Scripted is the rule of nines
Scripted is the thought of the Divine
and She scripted it in 0s and 1s
They're calling it social evolution
I just see AI making mankind obsolete
Bleak vision for the future

Two challenges that our world faces today - natural stupidity,
And artificial intelligence ~ Rowan Sebastian Atkinson*.
*Rowan Sebastian Atkinson is Mr. Bean.
AI is about to change our lives
Like never before like no other time
Don't think I'm up for it
Too old for this horse
AI is scary, in my books it doesn't rhyme
Overheard a couple elderly gents
Discuss artificial intelligence
One said to the other
If I had my druthers
‘Twould be on the ballot for President
Artificial Intelligence has taken over
Human intelligence is sadly obsolete and passé
~ Jobs will soon be non-existent!

O, darling, send me an artificial flower
dangling from a plastic bower
accompanied by words of elegance
culled from artificial intelligence
A-n artificial
I-ntelligence is robot,
L-iving like human.
E-ven the machine
E-nables us to create
N-ice and clear copies.

artificial
logical, swift
calculating, processing, evolving
input, actuators, feedback, brain, heart, emotions,
feeling, loving, erring
frail, boundless
human
There's no AI in what I write
It's all in my head late in the night
My thoughts my poems are all my own
maybe not intelligent but real with tone
no computer-generated words I do write
just me and my thoughts late in the night.
Love bloomed even in clones..feelings won over scientific triumph
THIRD PLACE
love bloomed in clones…heart won, not brain, artificial intelligence failed
Plastic surgeons reshape plastic people
Artificial intelligence so unreal
Robots do our chores for us
Drones fight our wars for us
Can't go to sleep without a pill
as awareness
enabling form
we notice it resists
strobes of light
innate to Self
artificial intelligence
of body apparatus
wishes to dream
delusions of grandeur
will it be rude
to jar ego
out of slumber
love employs
no use of force
we rest
A. I. (Artificial Intelligence)
Is synonymous
With knowing..
Awaiting prompts
Questions about
Knowing..
A. I. may even
Come to know
Knowing as an
Expression of
Not-knowing
Again.. knowing..
In a box
As "we"
Seem to be...
AI
Images seem
As surprises..
Arisings
With hints of
The prompting
Words..
Simply
Amazing..!
The AI message
Is that stories
And images
Are simply
Artificial
Unending..
Which is
Simply
Nothing new..
However...??

**Back just for today!
You Can Get A Lot
Of People To Like You.
Just Fake It A Little...
That's All You Gotta Do.
Even Artificial Intelligence
Knows That!
I Don’t Want To!
Oh, Boo-Who-Are-You?
I'm Not Even Sure I
AM
Sorry.
LOLOL.

What will happen to humanity
When robots are completing tasks
We can do naturally?
Will we forget what we were once able to do easily?
Will we program them to teach us
What we were once able to do in the first place?

I care I search
For poems that are written
By the actual poet posting them
Not poems written by another poet
Not plagiarized lyrics
Not by ones produced by Artificial Intelligence
I care I search
For integrity in the poetry community
In some cases
I am still searching
Listen to poem:
AI is so clever, yet it often trips,
To hallucinate with fibs and skips.
But, don't get mad when it fakes and lies
For it's learned its lines from a billion flawed guys
Mere mortals in AI's fake, bit and byte, guise eyes.
Who checks up on the know-all bot in a genius disguise?
