You just have to read the blog to see integrity is missing! especially when 'the mean girls' are blocked from commenting lol. King troll strikes again, as for poetry i write my own, it may be poop and the odd good poem but at least I don't post lyrics from a famous singer and not credit them until after it gets POTD!

it's amazing that plagiarism and ai works slip by, yet my use of the word "queer" (starts with q and rhymes with beer, in case it gets replaced by asterisks in this comment) gets censored by the soup police! you've done a fine job with your poem, jan!

Wow! How crazy that anyone would want to put their name to someone else’s poetry or use AI! It is from our inner world, emotions, perspective, memories, etc…

happened on a recent POTD with plagiarised lyrics which eventually got credited to the real writer but hey ho at least we write our own stuff Kim

Lin soup has a 'love poem' generator - how can a poet say its their own work if they use a device like that with only 10 or 12 words we input!!

Frankly Lin I am appalled at what I've witnessed over the last few weeks, a quote by a famous poet, a poem by a famous poet and Lyrics posted from a song from the 1940s - yet we tick a box to say its all our own work.... hmm. hugs Jan xx

Alas, Jan, I’m already treating comments with suspicion and reading poems in some doubt. There’s so many new names on soup who have apparently been extremely prolific but who just suddenly appeared. I’m tracing images for their origins and suspecting all new names. I guess I’m playing their game in answering their comments, but I’m non committal which is so unfair to genuine new human members. Th best suggestion I can offer, Terry is to just write what pleases you and ignore anything that seems circumspect…Trivial We were all new to the site at one time.

I’m hoping that we’ll soon have pointers to look out for: factors that will highlight these fraudulent members. Meanwhile, we can only be vigilant and hope we don’t dissuade new members. I fear it’s too late for that.
