The garden came alive today
leaves are bursting forth,apace

The sun greeted me today
a smile upon its face

Love gave me a kiss today
in my daughter's embrace

Life is so much better today
living within God's grace...

He won gold,sprinting apace
Yet on a Sunday would not race;
Later,upon a mission field
His freedom lost, was made to yield-
Then met his master, face to face.

Tribute to Eric Liddell(1902-1945) of 'Chariots of Fire' fame, died in a Japanese internment camp....

With patience, in a concealed place,
in long grass, or a packing case
as unwary prey comes apace
never his footsteps to retrace

With cold eye, beady, dead in space,
Uncoiling with hypnotic grace,
Slow motion skin - an awful lace,
To silent earth, no sudden trace....

To Her
consigning all to oblivion,
& with time's flame lit apace,
I should have scorched all pride
to stand helpless
at the gates of your beauty,
at the gates of that impossible love
that I can only now confound
(as mourners do),
wherein every joyous thing
is a memory,
of the beauty I saw in you...

a fawn frolics free 'cross the meadow
    coat aglow, bathed in sunshine
her young buck sleeps apace, never stirring
wrapped in arms of conifers, tall pines

the fawn pauses to sniff the chill forest
sorrow's torment streams toward her heart
shots ring out, dogs bay, crimson sky ~
    archers yawn, another fawn's cry...

Premium Member Narrow margins
| From lack of reason, to quotients of densest space
| Through the iris of an eye, voids are commonplace
| Stubborn pervasive doubt, projects across the face
| Reassured again when mindsets find a bright place
| Still if one can’t see god, photons will bring a trace
| Filtered through life’s prism, heaven refracts apace

Premium Member Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Life was running perfect on its rails,
Smooth and steady apace,
Till there was an unforeseen turn,
Every rose has its thorn.

The kindest person I ever met,
Added fragrance to my life,
His absence pricks so sharp ,
But every Rose has its thorn .

Dreams so bright near fulfil,
Mesmerised my heart and soul,
Till some awakened me to reality,
Every Rose has its thorn !...

Love
Love puts a smile on your face The memories came apace Waiting for another taste There was no haste When I was in chase And when obtained It should never be misplaced Maybe just display it in a case Like a fancy vase With opened arms it will always be embraced Souls are forever interlaced In Gods good grace For love I will continue to reincarnate

Weal
When the humid breath of spring crowned this place
Two darlings buds blossomed in one.
Lines of years unrolled with eagle mighty wings apace
Through toothed seasons, many delightful adventures won.

Once his hands landed on heaped treasure
With king like mien, he dropped with empty care
Who flooded his bosom with amorous pleasure.
With king like rue he wails, "bulk treasure brims no heart anywhere."...

Maintain Your Focus
MAINTAIN YOUR FOCUS
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

Don’t lower the bar, lose not sight of the goal
Avoid the distractions, that constantly unfold
Zero in on the prize with relentless pursuit
An untended tree will be barren of fruit
Fuel your quest with positive assertions
Mine your resources for creative infusions
Your goal emerges, in sight, continue apace
Successful missions lead to a higher chase...

Premium Member Unbridled Lust
Woman, so fancy fair of form
  You swivel sultry past me
O, how can I weather your storm

My temperature rises
  Heart pounding apace
I check my impulse au natural
To take up the siren chase

Like a caged lion, my insides rage
  Belie the placid countenance
Of a man of advancing age...

Then with a moan of unbridled lust
  For your body I lunge
As you dissolve into nothingness
  ~ Off night's bed have I plunged...

Premium Member A Reflection
This glass,this mirror flat
I see before me ,day by day.
The reflection of what others
see of me.I see ,this one
dimension can never 'live'
or be touched.
I reach out but cannot feel.
My prints I leave,
yet I cannot breach this barrier
between me and me.
Un-tactile unsatisfactory,ephemeral
it disappears as I move away,
I can no longer stay in this
pose face to face,lacking grace...
lest this narcissus grows apace...

Premium Member Living In Present
Bygone is past, memories echo,
No one can live in antiquity,
There's no time like the present,
Future comes apace, an opaque mirror,
Live a life of endeavor, live to your full,
Till the air is able to fill !!

Achievements , the jewels of past ,
Present is the very life of life,
Why ponder over future, unknown pal,
Also when it comes soon enough,
Live present moments in happiness,
A water that ought to flood !!
