That stands out in a crowd anyplace
She looks like the fairy
Who charms Londonderry
With visions of ethereal grace...

First Class
In my mind
I can create an image of anything
Anyplace that's probably
Floating somewhere in this universe.
I just can't see
What it must be like
To go to heaven....

Guilt
Did I cause
This feeling inside
I feel it deep within
And I try my hardest to hide
I need to escape this sin
Where can I go that I know
Is there anyplace that I can leave
Where I know that I may achieve
Any possible relief...

Premium Member What If
Tomorrow, the virus simply disappeared.

Imagine the joy of seeing faces.

Ponder, if you will the joy of embraces.

What would it feel like to be free again?

To go anyplace you wanted to and when!

To attend games of your choice,
cheering in joy, and then.

To be fully God's child once in joy....once again!...

Aladdin's Lamp
ALADDIN’S LAMP

Used to think it was just a fairy story,
Impossible dream - fun to imagine:
Rub certain parts and it talks,
A genie-image appears and sees me,
And will work for me,
Can transport me anyplace instantly,
And speak many languages.

Just rub the mousepad, upload skype,
Word process from the net:
Computer is the lamp of Aladdin....

Private Del
troop!
the lieutenant screamed
inches from the face of Del
how do you expect
to make spec four
with a damn rolls royce
radiator cap in your locker

looking straight into the looey's face
returned I wouldn't give up
that radiator cap
to make spec four
anytime, anywhere, anyplace
and smiled broadly,
Sir!!

(Yes, he did steal it one drunken night)...

Eternal Father, I give you honor and glory
Confessing my sins and imperfections before you
Salvation is ours for the asking, anyplace, anytime
Thanking you for another day of life and all the needs you supply
Adoration and worship are due you for your goodness
Sins, whether large or small are forgiven by you
Yes, oh yes, Alleluia, ecstatic is my heart from your love. Amen

Heart Song
A song in my heart
Plays out for you
There aren't any words
Yet I carry this tune

My pulse is the beat
It speeds up anytime
When you're close to me
I carry this rhyme

So joyous the sound
That only I hear
No matter our distance
It plays like you're near

My tremble the treble
With each touch of your hand
I prefer country
But it's more like big band

The volume my smile
As I see your face
You still turn me on
Anytime, anyplace...

Premium Member Life and Death
I am the breath of life
I fill your lungs with air
I'm flowing like a river
Like the wind blows through your hair

I wake you in the morning
I comfort you at night
I'm the deep eternal spring
And the everlasting light

I am the kiss of death
All will feel my soft embrace
I can come to steal your breath
Anytime and anyplace

I'm waiting in the darkness
I'm hidden out of sight
I'll be there when the time comes
To pull you from the light...

The Ride
When someone else is at the wheel,
There’s not much you can say
‘Cause no one likes a back-seat driver
Getting in the way.

A passenger cannot control
The route or time or speed
And so restraint and patience
Are the virtues that you’ll need.

You may be in a bus or cab
Or van or car or train
Or anyplace where someone is
In charge of the terrain.

If you are not the captain,
Keep your censuring inside;
Just take a breath, sit back, relax
And tolerate the ride....

The Light
Christ is the light that brightens my life.
I have chosen to worship my God.
I will follow the Lord Jesus Christ
on paths I so long to trod.
Through all the good times and through the bad
I know He will always be there.
I can call on His name and He'll answer
   anytime , anyplace, anywhere.
He is my strength, on Him I depend,
I draw from that strength night and day
To heal me in sickness,to keep me in health
and be humbly willing to always obey....

A Big Occasion
To mark a big occasion
There should be a special meal,
Most often in a restaurant;
(At least that’s how I feel).

Today’s the anniversary
Of when I met my mate,
So therefore we will dine somewhere
Outside to celebrate.

Without a reservation
We’ll just stroll around the ‘hood
And peek at menus, noting
If the food and drink sound good.

It’s not our usual routine,
But after all these years,
Most anyplace will do to eat
And toast this date with beers....

Premium Member world I never imagined
I have never seen children who cannot listen as hard as these students
They could if their mouths ever shut, but they are perpetually open.
Words coming hard and fast, for they may have never been listened to.
At home, or anyplace else. And now here they are, babbling away.
Thinking their opinions are more important than the teacher’s.
I feel like I have fallen upside down into the Twilight Zone.
It is a world that I as a child could have never imagined or fathomed....

Before I Woke Up
What did I do before I woke up?
I can’t remember,
Did I leave my mind?
My body?
What did I find?
Did I travel anyplace?
A distant galaxy,
A different dimension?
Heaven?
Hell?
I cannot tell,
Something is missing,
I look at the clock, no way!
I’ve lost a whole day,
Something is wrong,
I couldn’t have slept that long,
What did I do before I woke up?
Did I sleep thru the night?
Or travel until the morning light,
Funny though,
I can look down and see,
My sleeping body….....

Like a Fish
Have to much going on to sleep,
like I'm swimming in my thoughts to deep,
Able to breathe now,
but I've been drowned before,
the darkness down here,
tried to pull me from shore.
I gotten pulled under,
the waves I once adored,
I trusted the waters,
no warning of a storm.
See darkness doesn't know,
I can still see the light,
no need to hold my breath,
I'm like a fish tonight.
Swim on this path,
where this sea is to take me,
a shore, someplace, anyplace,
wherever 'home' will be....

Educational Journeys
A catalogue came in the mail
Of places I could visit,
Descriptions of the journeys
Both exotic and exquisite.

The trips were educational,
For travel and for learning,
With some possible connections
To new friends upon returning.

The itineraries beckoned –
Every country you’d consider
If you had the savings ready
And the time that you could fritter.

So I thumbed through all the pages
Of the places for exploring,
But for now, my home has more appeal
Than anyplace for touring....
