Like a Fish

Have to much going on to sleep,
like I'm swimming in my thoughts to deep,
Able to breathe now,
but I've been drowned before,
the darkness down here,
tried to pull me from shore.
I gotten pulled under,
the waves I once adored,
I trusted the waters,
no warning of a storm.
See darkness doesn't know,
I can still see the light,
no need to hold my breath,
I'm like a fish tonight.
Swim on this path,
where this sea is to take me,
a shore, someplace, anyplace,
wherever 'home' will be.
