Bogomil Cove

Hidden yet rugged
At the bottom of the world
Cool water flowing
High above Hell’s barren gates
High above ringed deception

Antarctica

Antarctica
migrated to Africa
Africans welcomed her
at night all hosts froze
Antarctica laughed!
and the remains?
fossilized!

Three Cheers for the Tardigrade

Of all creatures in the animal parade,
there's but one that each habitat does pervade.
It can live any place -
Antarctica or space.
Three cheers for the adaptable tardigrade!

Existence' Ceo

There's North and South America
Australia, Asia, Europe and Africa
He's as cold as Antarctica in South
All his goodness ends in his mouth
Oh! If only his praises, his replica

The Seeing Mind

The Seeing Mind

He had been to Antarctica
As a tourist
How was it, I asked
Expecting him going on
About the majesty
Of the place
He hesitated and said:
It was full of ice, snow
And shitty penguins

Arctic and Antarctica

Arctic and Antarctica

Two polar and opposites
Two lovers, all one of them
Two is one, one is two
Both are icy land and soul
They are friends in the heart
Their stories are unimaginable.

Friendship
Love
War
Past
Future
Forever
Lives

Salad Days

I don't know where iceberg lettuce winter squash or snow peas grow but it seems to me it's not down there in Antarctica where and when it's freezing below which only goes to show pointing out if not advising there's bait and switch in the pitch and no truth to their advertising

Make Me Special

If you make me a butterfly next time,
Please give me transparent wings.
I want to be of the glass-wing species.
And put me in Antarctica.

Where I will be special, unique, one of a kind.
For they have no butterflies there.
But wait! Make me special, but one of ten of a kind.
I want to take my friends with me.

Seal Immovable

More graceful in full blubber
than a ballroom dancer,
a seal slides down banisters
of ocean spirals
in ice-cold currents.

Smiling like a cat,
slipping into water,
swimming down and up,
for fish and krill and squid.
Sunning, sleeping on the rocks,
I could never push you over.

Seal - immovable.
Seal - so fat.

Clubbing

When I agreed to tag along with my new buddies and go clubbing,
I had absolutely no idea,
that I'd be flying on a plane with a blunt instrument,
on my way to Antarctica to club baby seals.
Don't worry, It is not going to happen.
I'm just along for the ride to club all my new friends
the first chance I get when they aren't looking.

Flame and Frost

I was just a girl trying to get through life. Trying to fight every obstacle that would get in my way. But then, came a point were I was lost, I was devastated because I didn't know what to do. It was like I was 2 souls in 1 body. 1 soul was a burning flame and the other was as cold as the Soviet Vostok Station in Antarctica, on July 21, 1983.

Antarctica part 1

The coldest Southern Oceans
call him on stormy seas
in months of darkest searching
to Polar Desert see's

The blood red waters flying
the glacier vast expanse
he touches mineral waters
Erebus Lava chance.

Aurora lights are calling
over -land of the midnight sun
its beauty never falling
his journeys just begun.

..to continue...

From Antarctica

a glacial lake
reflecting snow- capped mountains...
mirror image

dripping water
suddenly frozen...
ice sculptures

two penguins
waddling through snow...
happy family

antarctica
inside my bed room...
animal planet

What Am I

What am I?
I can stick to any surface except Teflon.
Yes, I am an animal and I stick by my toes.
I can bark, chirp and click.
You heard me correctly.
I live on every continent except Antarctica.
My eyes are over three hundred times more sensitive than yours.
I kind of look like a lizard to some.

The Simple Square

The square has four equal sides. Whether it is
in North America., South America, Africa, Asia,
Europe, Antarctica and Australia it remains
the same. From the highest mountain, deepest
Undersea lake to the most luxurious valley it measures
the same. No matter the holder, or the way it
is turned by life's challenges. global integrity
is it's namesake.

An Aged Tardigrade

I happened on a tardigrade.
He told of places he had stayed,
and sadly sighed.

He spoke of the friends he had made,
and the times he'd been afraid,
and then he softly cried.

He'd lived in Antarctica and Spain,
the fiery desert and icy rain,
and neither froze nor fried.

He was old, in so much pain,
and asked, "why must I remain?"
before he finally died.

Winds

Trapped in your body
a city starts
screaming.

The master has broken off
a huge iceberg.

An Antarctica is burning
like hermitage
from the spark of a red robe.

Lips are riddled
with lies.
No face is left
to smile.

Ruthless with the words
and meanings,
they have manipulated the winds.

The puppets
have come to stop
in complete silence.

To Please

To please everyone is...
To climb the highest mountain.
Dive to the very bottom of the sea.
Hold your breath for twenty minutes.
Hug the Great Wall Of China.
Live for days without water.
Go to Antarctica for a day in shorts and a tank-top.
Swim every ocean in two days time.
Bungee jumping off Mount McKinley.
Run across the U.S. in two days.
To please everyone is to please no one.

Life As a Bearded Dragon

Let me tell you something
I live in sand
No water barely any food
Strong as a dragon
I have a beard still not old
I eat bugs all day , everyday
Always hiding from predators nowadays
I can't go to Antarctica
I'll die with a brain freeze
My skin is as rough as an alligator
Don't touch me I bite
I only can stand heat that is hot as hell
I may look like a wizard
I'm actually a lizard

Dear Penguin

Adelie penguin,
dear little thing,

black on your back,
black on your wings,

round white tummy
and flat pink feet,

your waddle is funny
and so is your squeak.

When you dive in the water
and porpoise around,

jumping back on your feet
when you land on the ground,

it’s a penguin I’d be,
if a bird I would choose,

wearing dinner-suit feathers
and flappy pink shoes.

A Winter's Day in Williamstown

A cold wind has the breath
of Antarctica coming up
from the south. Snow is falling
in the Alps. Small boats
huddle in the sheltered corners
of the Bay as I make my way
towards the foreshore
and the spray swept pier.
In the far distance, gulls wheel
inside a shaft of sunlight
gathering gold on joyous wings.
Suddenly, something leaps up
from out of its wintry solitude
to join them.

thinking Antarctica

In Antarctica ice can be three miles thick
I try to fathom this but cannot grasp the trick
of visualizing a solid this deep and this slick
facts from a nonfiction book written by Rick

animals there turn bright dazzling winter white
camouflaged next to snow, they can stay out of sight
i would like to see Antarctica for myself, during daylight
i wonder if they have any kind of fierce sunlight?

Cold Or Hot?

Cold is so relaxing:
Ice cubes and snow on all the winter sleighs
Strawberry ice-cream
And Cloudy winter days
Popsicles so colorful
Wind in you hair
The continent of Antarctica
The white fur of a polar bear

Hot is so relaxing:
Steamy showers
Cute, cuddly dogs
Having heat ray powers
A partially burned log
A hot, hot oven
And jalapeno peppers
Yes, for sure, the heat is what I'm lovin'
