Let Tambourines Begin
Puerto Rican girl
thin, thin,
let street lights pour

bourbon on your hair,
anise on your skin.
Puerto Rican girl,

thin, thin,
gin one white smile for me.
Let tambourines begin

Premium Member Nightfall
Her hush rolls like folding scrolls
Gentle breeze, whiffs of anise
Fire, cream puff desire
Soft sorbet, goosebump display
Draw back of kite, lull of light
Descending easel bending
Blackboard slate, forgiveness' weight

Heart Colors
From my multicolor heart
feverish sounds, and
subtle odors
 of mysteries ...
Eyes,
lapis lazuli stones
look to the the sky
mystery in
blue...
Perceptions
of sweet puzzle
ties,
energizing.
heart...
pulsating indigo!
 almost green
exceeding green
 of aplant...
Blue,
further than bluish
multicolored
anise heart,
Heart,
rainbow
in your
sky...!you see....
It's me....

They Say In Heaven Love Comes First
A bouquet in chocolate covered, rose made words....
Delivered the ballast their coronet and love's, communion
Anise her chatelaine esoteric, epitaphs ? Andromeda, gypsy moths
Metamorphe this curtain of night as she an effusion sub rosa: time's talisman
Archaic play'mates a covenant prolific cherubs,

                                                                                              ...."In Progress." *:*(*...

The Little Green Fairy
Resting in this lead crystal glass I see
is a mystical little green fairy.
Outside in the light of a summer full moon,
a sugar cube is nestled in a silver slotted spoon.
There is a sweet anise scent the fairy does not hide,
as ice takes the sugar and runs down the side.
The steps are slow, but worth the wait,
as few living men can take you in straight.
Little green fairy, as I hold you in my hand,
open the gate and let me enter your land....

Black Licorice
The Twizzlers that I eat are red.
They’re great, but what they lack
Is that special flavor that’s reserved
For licorice that’s black.

I bought a yard of it when on
An Italy vacation.
To Twizzlers this stuff only has
A very slight relation.

For Italians love their anise
So their candy is imbued
With the punch this seed does carry
And its matching attitude.

I could kick myself, believe me,
‘Cause I only bought a yard
And when it is gone, the loss of it
Will hit me very hard....
