Philippines: Feel Happiness

Thousands of islands, thousands of fiestas

Hundreds of colors, hundreds of vistas

Come to the Philippines

And you'll feel happiness!

hallucinatory

no thoughts tornadoed continents waiting
our ignited centres spaced dichotomy
unnamed species inhabited surrounds
we knew not of wisdom pounds
too much ayahuasca in the Amazon

dispersion

hot crusted bread speaking truths
labouring backs bent over ovens
cows chewing cherrywood cuds cosy
what could be more knowing
as Nature spreads tranquility tacit ?

Knight

insired by a picture at allpoetry.com/amyrowsell
this could only be 45 words

the deep dark night
in shining amour
crossing the path
a girl, he must save
the moonlight reflection
helps him to be brave
the night on the white horse
is who he wants to be, guiding him
striving for what’s inside of him
continuing on
Form: Rhyme

oil taken or dried up

spine not straight
had to wait
for fertiliser from miser
was it that expansionism
took lubricating oil
from loamy soil ?

arms to be palms
legs walking eggs
buckled, I shovel

Venus Love Fragments

Aah Beloved Moon ! Into a river of ferns you
make me swoon —
too soon I drop into mossy depths where
silvery you follow my deepest breaths
slippery is this solitary embankment
with turquoise Venus Love Fragments
radiating nature’s arty essence in
Presence ~

Finally

Dilly dallying fumbling about, pitter patter falls the rain outside. Jovial, my nerves, worn... long patches run up-and down the carpet floor. Whack tap, lightening crashes, I cringe hold-my-breath, my new baby cousin... cries, my-heart... it soars! Author notes http://allpoetry.com/ban/show/6960 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4OXrmxDp44

spring pregnant lake

daisy pollen in nostrils
   tongue moves from blue frost
where it slumbered winterish
sunrise cracks pregnant lake
   trout jumping in surprise
I finger spring fish
                          warm flesh melts lips

inner cheeks bleat rosy

It Burns

insired by a picture from allpoetry.com/amyrowsell

What burns inside her?
what is that girl’s fire?
something that maybe he is not providing
is there something she is hiding?
is there something dark inside her
maybe what she sees is a blur
maybe she was scared for life
maybe she didn’t want to be his wife
maybe this girl needs help
maybe she needs something for herself
what is this girl’s fire
what is burning inside her?

Proverbs 6

allpoetry.com
My son pay ear to my warning
Cosigning makes you pay
You are working for family
You are not paying for man
Do not go signing papers
You are digging yourself a hole.

Creditors are scything plants
Chiseling money out of stones
Statues are swimming in oceans
Mars is waging war
The dogs are snarling
Suckers are falling prey
Do not sign man's papers
You are selling children.

apogee

Bald eagles soared to climax
winds following suit
reaching Mother Moon’s orbit
pink-blue wings swirling in space
feathers reach essences dissolving
Love innocent endures —

Breastbones transmuted at
point of no return
we sailed into Void, fluid
zéro apogee in vastness
stoic points absent to
pierce poinsettia
throbbing Hearts
bleed red —

Alice in the Rain

rain shine so divine
sprinkle blessings kissings wet ~
feet in leather boots
rain sound patter
mad hatter
Alice in whimper drops
coatless with rabbit ruling

rain shine so divine
plain gain to refrain
from disdain
shimmering sleet
of rain glimmering on street
rainbow sheet covering
fleet neat
Alice opens umbrella ~

Anniversary

this is inspired by a picture of a guy looking at a piece of bread with one candle
on it, http://allpoetry.com/amyrowsell

today would be our first wedding anniversary
but I lost her, a month ago
a guy was driving drunk and crossed the line
that night he took the life of mine
you think that they would learn
driving is a privilege you have to earn
I hate him for what he has done
he took away a mother from me and our young son
nobody wins when people drive drunk
