Sorry I haven't been here to comment on all your wonderful response to my work and me to read all you marvelous poets - but my internet and phone usage ( because of a sibling) is well over my allotted monthly costs and I now have big bill;   So I want be on to read or comment for a few days till I get my new credits for my phone and internet.

Father's vision makes us wise,

Audible days have become as whispers,
and nights often resemble marathons.
Where once his days seemed to be etched in gold,
time’s ravenous appetite rendered bronze.

Like fruit, from a bud man starts to ripen,
taking life for granted his days descend.
Viewing hinder he encounters “what if’s,”
but his time once spent he cannot amend.

Remembering times when I was all about doing

He moves down the row
driving a spike into their heads.

I stare at the frog allotted to me.
Small, green,
wide grinning mouth.
It looks like a cartoon drawing,
sat motionless between folded legs,

I half expect it to make a sardonic quip
about the nerdy lab tech
and his thin silver death-prong

Later, my frog is reduced to
just one limb,
attached to an oscillating current.
The leg dances on and on....

For it just survives.  Mye best fit is in ewe allotted time.
NO one knoes that eye exist except the ONE that loves me;
and these the ones that HE gives me,  to bring me love.
A picture captures love but cannot convey or contain it.
Exception happens when the one who poses smiles.
The one who L()()ks must never frown.
