Only One Life

Only one life… Come sacrifice upon the shaft (past?) Be you pierced right through your heart Till know you do the allotted path But you return again… Past time is gone but coming when life and death of earthly men No pitter-patter of old big Ben But then i’ll go again…. The crypt does wait but we arise Death throes pass a spirit flies Borne you are an infant wise But you will forget again… Don Johnson

Hi Don, this poem is very intriguing to me as I believe in reincarnation. In fact, according to many accounts, very young children recall events from their past lives. There was a book by an Ian Stevenson (Professor) in which he interviewed numerous youngsters and their revalations were astonishing. There is one spot left in my history contest and I hope you will submit one of your historical poems. It doesn't have to be a new poem and a variety of forms are acceptable. Love, Carolyn
