A He Or a She
A new baby, Yippee!
Is it a he or a she?
Today no one asks parents
They truly don't know
how to answer a question

Ages Ago - Dedicated To My Husband
Many moons ago we danced
And danced on the many stars that shone that night
In the enchanted wonderland we created
Whimsical fantasies carry us away
Onto a magic carpet built for two...

I Say I
I have lost the battle with myself ages ago,
Ripped petal with petal and whispered 'I love you no more'.
I've washed my feet, I've changed belief,
The time has come, rise I'll succeed....

Memory
Under the tree we both sat,
The trunk we both laid down our back,
And all the clouds we both saw,
The way it shaped,
Amazed ourselves,
But that was ages ago,
Now time seems to be away,
No time for us,
To be like those days,
When both of us parted our ways....

The Merchant's Lady
The merchant’s lady
saunters into villages
forsaken ages ago,
discovering cues
of lurid-ways no man
would even dare to dream,
much to say she has not
of which can be testified:---
the wretched man!
Philosophy may serve its purpose,
though theory is far
more pleasant than reality....

Infinity Me
Darkness,
It's pitch black carpet,
That was laid down ages ago,
And covered by diamonds,
And it was endless,
With space,
To go through,
Which way to go?
And that is who I am,
The one who doesn't know,
Within the life of infinity,
I just wandered the space,
And taking steps with might....

The Unknown Poet
The Unknown Poet
A poem written ages ago
Written but unsigned
Who was the poet?
He hid his identity for history
Why did he write such terrible words?
What was in his mind?
Were they his dreams?
Did he live in such pain?
Reading and rereading his words
You can see into his soul
If only we knew his name...

Another Time and Place
I don't know where I am going,
Cos I can't remember where I've been
I think I'm lost and I'm not sure,
Maybe I am in a dream.
Everything looks hazy; nothing seems defined.
Where's the girl I used to be
She has gone and left me behind.
Behind where? I don't know.
Hidden in the depths of time,
Ages and ages ago....

Romantic Promise
I am here to stay
Until my bones decay
Where else would I go
If I loved you since ages ago
Here I build a strong-solid nest
Where our love resides for best
If then this is deep from heart
None of us would ever depart
But in this love to live
Totally self to give
Here love to stay
till bodies decay.

Robert -Fv
A gentle curve of the lips
Eyes so soft they put you to sleep
A faint crimson across his cheek
You see all that was
All that will ever be
I feel the breeze beneath my wings
As an icicle forms beneath my feet
What was love, returns
Ages ago, this loss
Pain within me deep
Oh, father, I have lost forever
May you ever feel peace...

Alone Beneath a Granite Stone
He lies beneath a granite stone
His name carved ages ago
Faded and worn by time
It is barely a shadow
Tears were shed long before
Love was shown
Grief was shared
Now there are no flowers
Weeds and brush cover the land
No one left to mourn
There’s no one who remembers
There’s just a man
Beneath a granite stone
Alone and forgotten...

Conflict Between Ages
conflict broke out ages ago
between the young and old
The young complained
“Your bones are very strong
ours just fragile and weak”
“Fine”, old men said in unison
“Let’s wait fifty years to come.
When you reach our ages
then a good balanced fight
we shall have in fair game.”
They all waited patiently
but all old men died to dot
before the fight could begin!...

He Has Only Just Begun
It started thousands of ages ago,
when He had only just begun.
His creativetly was beyond all thought,
it was just divine.
If one looks over the many years,
we can see His handy work around every corner.
Today, technology is like a run away train,
yet He Has Only Just Begun.
What will tomorrow bring,
one does not know.
We need to wait and see,
for we will see Him at the next turn....

My Hero
I was just on the brink of giving up on love,
I was about to jump into a fog of loneliness.
But you came and rescued me from despair,
you were my very own superman.
You brought me back from darkness,
your love revitalized my broken heart.
Your love caused me to see sunshine.
I can't believe that you are mines.
That happened ages ago and you’re
still my friend, my lover and my superman.

Once Upon a Time...
Once upon a time..
I have tried and tried to break the wall...
I have tried and tired to stand tall...
but there are no holes...
there are no holes for the air to seep in...
I am stuck and I leave now...
I have spoken words.. I have pleaded.. cried .. and shouted....
I choose to remain silent
and forever will be ...
You will beg me to speak.... and you will not hear...
for I would have spoken ages ago... once upon a time......

Uprising
Between you and me
Longer is the stream of agony
I am out of breath
You may know
Yet, my mute feelings,
Ages ago,
Are surprised
Waking up
I shake my thoughts
The words are displaced between my wings
I see you revolt,
I take off the robe
Pulling my crooked legs together
I cover the skinny body
Declaring rebellion while erect
And my chest for storms is content.

Carpe Diem
THE POETS AND THE HIGHLANDER
A highlander stands alone
on the crest of a high hill
quietly playing the bagpipes
stirring the tree branches in the mist of fog
The sonorous dissonant sounds of the pipes
create a melancholy mood over the open field
the lone figure stands tall paying his respects
to the fallen poets
Poets no longer alive but their words
written ages ago ring loudly today
still piercingly proclaiming
we were alive are you?...

Deliverance
White plague like light,
brilliant beams haloed in contruse cubes,
consuming me, like angels wrapped in holy linen
turned vile and sinister. They beat their backs against
the hard earth .
Deformation of reality like ice turned to stone,
Dreams of snakes bitten at the leg by the tail.
Blood bought ages ago, lovers we were and dreamers,
cast out into the fire like little butterflies, fluttering
down in spiral patterns, releasing the spirit....

Colours
I’m lavender; I’m apple-tartness green
or colored cream like fleece - a peaceful ewe.
Pastel, I’m hushed; when gold or red, I preen.
Like ice cream of a most peculiar hue,
I’m Baskin-Robbins licorice-flavor blue.
I’m fanciful as pink and rarely frown
reflecting sequins of my rainbow gown.
Written ages ago, I don't know when, but was first posted 8/31/11 under the
title "Rainbowed"!
Now used for Shadow Hamilton's Colours Poetry Contest...

A Jump For Blessing
A JUMP FOR BLESSING
Once you are near I want to be nearer to you, Blessed
I wish not to go back to my roots, that far
Evils I departed from and shall quest not
Love
Only when your mercies grant me
Not in bits but full to fulfill me
Enough to last me through the sojourns
To you my Lordship in Heaven above
Lay me a bed of roses to call my sleep
Where you promise ages ago from the beginning
Bless me now
As I jump to reach you, Blessed
Love...

Haiku
Affectedness
I walk the Sunday streets once more
Long before the peal of church bells
Tuned to summon the hypocrites
From their cozy residences.
It will be awhile till they flock
En masse to the numinous house:
The butcher whose scale is slightly
Off in his favor; the lawyer
Whose soul was sold ages ago;
The car salesperson cramming cars;
Physicians unmindful of the poor
And an overweight clergyman
Orchestrating the proceedings.
Bong! Bong! Soon the parade begins....

Memories
Memories:
Sometimes I wonder if this all is worthy the fight. Memories still so real etched into my mind. For they will not leave so I can have peace.
Nights unslept, tossing and turning. Days gone by in a daze of confusion. All disrupted by agonizing memories.
Memories that torment every fragment of my soul. Memories that are still so real even though its been ages ago.
They never fade away and are still raw with each passing day.
Will these memories ever diminish?...

Balloons
BALLOONS
27 balloons let adrift aloft from the school
Rising in a loose group
Heading skyward,
Smaller, further, till the sun’s setting
Rays caught them only as specks
Visible now as a group, distance reducing
Size and relative spacing
Until they seemingly stopped moving,
Became fixed, like the stars.
All stars began like that:
Today’s constellations are balloons
Adrift from ages ago:
Nothing dies; all becomes stars.
