Alone Beneath a Granite Stone

He lies beneath a granite stone His name carved ages ago Faded and worn by time It is barely a shadow Tears were shed long before Love was shown Grief was shared Now there are no flowers Weeds and brush cover the land No one left to mourn There’s no one who remembers There’s just a man Beneath a granite stone Alone and forgotten
