Adobe
Muddy bricks build it
Sunlight bakes hard to reside
Seen in dry desert

And it MUST be "Corona" tall

Oh Donald Iv
Oh Donald dear, here we are again
  Are you indeed the representative of republicans?
Your speeches flow like some comedic schtick
  Will the wall be built with adobe brick?
Behind you a following of thousands hearing all you’re not saying
  Leaving the rest of us on our knees and fearfully praying....

Premium Member Whispers of Jaguars
The cliffs up high
tell adobe tales
laced with maize
on hawk feather breezes.
Whispers of Jaguars
travel the mesquite,
are impaled on cacti needles.

The sight of the cat
knows the darkness,
protects the Gods.
It's said even the spots
on its fur are eyes;
they follow the warrior.
Spears cannot pierce its skin;
we sleep in peace....

Premium Member Desert Gloaming
In the stray lavender of twilight
as cactis' spindled obelisks
brush spreading lapis sky
a honeyed sun
holds tight
to desert crags
for a last glimpse
of fulgid sage
and adobe rainbow dwellings
sprawled in the valley.
I await the candle moon's
flickering smile
shining in gully water
and darts of starlight
glowing in my arid dreams....

Mi Mexico lindo:

Burnt orange and ochre --
color de cafe --
pineapple, lime, red pajaritos...
land of mananas, grace in mantillas...
balanced canastas, ojos expresivos.
Sunshine and heat, fiesta y corrida,
salt and tortilla, pride and tequila.
Frijol and machismo and chile con queso.
Adobe, caliche, sweet agua fria...
Mexico, te amo mucho, y su gente amable!...

Blissful Ladakh
Beyond the world lies a journey,
a horizon that acquaints a magical destiny,
a solitude with soulful eternity,
a milieu abiding betrothal vicinity,
where deity is within the eyes
and the faith adobe vivid smile.

Beyond the human lies a viability,
a nascence that exhale a verse amorously,
a spirit with blissful sovereignty,
an admirer beaconing Elysian itinerary,
where deity is seen solely,
to a hermit heart wallowing ethereally....

The End of the Trail
Upon a wall out in the west,
A print hung nailed to adobe.
A beaten Indian warrior hangs his head
On his horse on a cliff so sadly.

His braid disheveled, a tear I think,
A memory upon an impressionable child.
I can still feel with my little girl's heart,
When I recall "The End of the Trail."

Now that little girl is nearing that end,
Her battles not the same, but done.
With the hope she’ll meet that Indian again,
With his head high, his war now won....

Country Road, Travel Me To My Humble Abode
The wheel twirls on the carpet of dusty gold;
Caressing a story yet untold...
The paddock filled with dancing green Mermaids;
The gaze in to eternal beauty fades...
Peaks Joyous of the breeze;
A kiss or two? What a tease...
The blazing golden ball high above;
Mellows down for a striking white dove...
Singing Nymphs luring with devotion;
beguilingly the hands set to motion...
Country road travel me to my humble adobe
Set me free of this grave load......
