In feeling awe
Saw a kitten
Playing paw
With a ping
Pong ball
She liked
So much
Wish that I
Had a home
I could
Take her to

The Children of Israel - Chapter 17, Verses 85, Holy Koran

And they ask you about the soul
Say, the soul is an outcome
Of one of the commands of our Lord
And you are not given knowledge but a little from God.

The New Flutist

For nearly 85 days
She looked
What she found
Made the world
Stop and take heed
To a look at how
Romance and

Is defined and explained

Barangka Mandaluyong At 85

It's Barangka Mandaluyong
That celebrates eighty-fifth year;
Each member's faith never goes wrong,
As judgment day is very near.

C and V are gone forever
Punched too hard
Copy and Paste

Space bar holding court
Wanting a rally to protest
The heaviness of my fingers.

I slap them happily
Typing 85 words a minute
Unconcerned about their silly protest.

Feel now and here deep sense of flow,
Etch fond good cheer that sparks fine glow;
Sketch happy near in song and dance,
Touch makes things clear in ample show.

why
have I
       waited

Mais

Mais

Desde sempre
o engajamento,
mais do que
qualquer
outro fator,
mais do
que QI,
cria entre
85% a 90%
do sucesso
na vida
e nos negócios.

Qualquer outro fator,
você e eu
precisamos,
mas ter,
nunca faz
de você
uma estrela:
é o engajamento
que faz
fazer
mais e mais.

Premium Member Mother Nature Must Be In Love

Mother Nature must be in love
Her smile a warm 85 degrees,
Kissing us with no humidity
the birds sing on the breeze;

Mother Nature must be glowing
nothing can stop her Sun,
Warming us from the inside out
That happy romantic rhythm,

Mother nature must be crazy
to bare us her soul;
Or maybe she trusts,
We love her as she loves us.

Wisdom, Justice and Moderation

There's construction on 400
Bed rolls under the junction
Lights passing overhead
Eyes shut but never rested

With the film money rolling in,
New homes are built
With the overpass covering,
some are sheltered from the rain

Underneath 85,
Just south of city lights
are those still trudging through life
Bed roll, holding dog close for the warmth to survive

Premium Member No 'Partly Witchy' Tonight

The frost on the pumpkin has yet to appear
In the forecast no 'partly witchy' tonight
Though goblins and ghosts decorate lawns
Thoughts of Halloween (still) seem to be yawns

Yet today a jet-black cat crossed my path
And a crack in the sidewalk caused me to stumble
But it's just too darn hot for this stuff... Do the math
At 85 degrees angry bees can still bumble

Shirley Temple

She was very cute with her curly hair and dimples.
The lady who I'm speaking of was Shirley Temple.
She starred in Curly Top and Stand Up And Cheer.
She starred in 60 films during her fabulous career.
It was so sad and tragic when she died in February of 2014.
She was the biggest child star that the world has ever seen.

(Dedicated to Shirley Temple who died at the age of 85 on February 10, 2014.)

Everything that was expected from me
Wilting like the wreaths
Perfectly placed near the scene
But the flowers are not for me
Everything that was expected of you
A storyline that I had drafted too soon
And I feel guilty for the things I do
I'll shut my eyes before we meet at high noon
Expectation dies in a shot or two
But the liquor doesn't seem to soothe
Not the way it used to
I've been thirsting too much for you.

COPLA 85 INVOCATION : This Bad Guy World

If the aim’s to nullify conflict
How could evolution be willed :
Sheer accident

Since species are subject to roles strict
Just to keep each entity drilled :
None come out spent

If the idea was mooted first
Then set to plan by innate laws :
What’s the purpose

Just to assuage Creator’s thirst
To see how we obey His powers :
Meaninglessness

SLEEP

at age 85
i sleep often and well
little reason needed
except the need for
what i do best sleep

they say
that one in the 80s has
less need of sleep
i tell this to myself often
as i drop off

at age 85
i don’t need a lot of sleep
i can dream
most any time I wish
with eyes wide open

deep sleep
can transport one into another world
according to my wife
i’m gone all day long
eyes wide open
