If you are looking for me..Its a lost cause i say
I seem to grow more distant and different day by day.' I
Once held ideals and ideas of what man I
Should be..Then Jesus came up cliose to be in front'
And I don't care now..For what once I prized
In truth it was but irrelevance, in deceptive guise.' The Light of Jesus..Is above all worldly worth
In Him, is my identity.' May I loose to Him all

Three For Monday

Poetry

Neither hobby
nor pastime
its grip ever
grows

Its hold on my
heart
through the drought
and the snow

Each word
that it sends me
each phrase
to impound

And blessing
the silence
my Savior
— resounds

(1st Book of Prayers: August, 2025)

Divine Wind

Shinto
or Buddhist
the Samurai
served

Their honor
and legiance
in blood
was preserved

The sword
as their mantle
and spiritual
Lord

Death
was their preference
dishonor
— abhorred

(Shinjuku Museum: October, 2003)

Betwixt & Between

Better or worse
those two oxymorons
Lying in wait
entrapping the weak

Lo and Behold
they claim self-importance
Lo and Behold
thoughts watered and meek

Polar extremes
they float barely conscious
To lure you between them
and hold you quite mad

Bye after Bye
they muddle your choices
Bye after Bye
— good orphaned with bad

(Dreamsleep: August, 2025)

Nationals you are the same
Whatever nation you relate to
You're caught up in the old game
Of some national breakthrough
The most independent sources
Tell you what you need to learn
Privileged with self-importance
You count every cent you earn
Tell me propaganda stories
Tired generalizations
Pose a show-off with no worries
Though you are a worried nation
That’s your special way to go
Just a little bit depressing
We are poles apart, I know
But it seems a mutual blessing.

Outbreak of tuberculosis
Out and out ridiculousness
Outcomers who refuse inoculations
Outgrowth of a new pandemic
Outlandish selfishness and self-importance
Outrageous and intolerable
Outside of common sense
Outstandingly self-absorbed and neglectful

Premium Member 51st State?

Lately, there's been some
(actually, a lot of) debate
about Canada becoming
an American state.

The POTUS clearly wants to inflate,
with little or no debate,
the number of U.S. states,
as if that'll make America great.

But, Mr. President...
I have a better idea that'll go
in accordance
with your inflated sense
of self-importance.

Instead of annexing Canada, amigo,
the 51st state should be your big ego!

And, as states go
(forgive me if this sounds alarmist),
if Congress approves,
it'll be at least the fifth-largest.

Premium Member The Wrong Landlord

On one’s ability, nothing wrong to confide
needless gratification, glory hunting is wide
chances of victory from a one-man army divide.

Resilience that is bloated will be swallowed by the tide
seeking attention is their life, on a horse it rides
to condescend and to look down also riding side by side.

High-level difficulty to follow a guide
adopting modesty and quiet, the desire had lied
even in the smallest hole, self-importance won’t hide.

Everything seems beneath, so nothing to abide
the house caught a self-inflicting fire, and its residents died
the same report is of the properties whose landlords are pride.

Premium Member My Truths

My truths about self are important
To me but, can be different from others.
I ‘ve wiped tears from my cheeks from being knocked down.
I’ve told myself, fail I will not; personal honor, self-respect
Is important; I will fiercely fight.
I will not abandon my trust of moral values, personal,
Or political; or harshly criticize and place myself in guilt.
I will abandon ego of self-importance, work on personal growth.
I have a lot of weakness, but accountable.
So, I look for my strength.
Want to be appreciated for contributions and who I am.
Alone in whimpering gloom darkness alone I do not desire.
My truths about self, trust God.
Believe; with Him, I can do all things.

  The calmer
     the more confident
  The more strident
     the more insecure

  The more natural the laugh
     the less the self-importance
  The harder the stare
the less of him we can bear

  The more finger-pointing
     the more righteousness
  Hands relaxed at the sides
     reveal humble bona fides

We’re all important in different and various ways
But we shouldn’t ever get to caught up in our own significance
or self-importance
Whatever we believe, we are transient

Whatever pigeon hole, box or compartment of our lives, we are transient

Friends, strong friends, we may bump into but rarely do we seek or
be sought out with any regularity
We hear ourselves say “we should do this more often”
but we rarely do
We are all guilty

Work environments, once left, people quickly fade
An acknowledgement that the world moves on
Quite rightly so
We are transient

Even with families, that most permanent of connections,
time erodes any permanence
Most can remember our parents and even grandparents
but how much beyond that
We are all of us, transient

Our lives are relatively short, for most our legacy is even shorter
Very few people have any form of permanence in history
This doesn’t mean we are irrelevant

To the contrary
We can be important and influential in a number of ways
It’s important to remember
Who you are
What you are
How you are

Be true to yourself but know life for what it is
In not so many years, no one will know any of this

Premium Member Questions

Questions I often questioned myself, It's not a lack of one's faith

yet it's the concerns and matters demonstrated by accounts from

                   people. Questions

I often interrogate myself about who, what, when, where, why, and how.

Uncertainties, hesitations, battles how I was dealt the hands of these

                 cards. Questions

No, I'm not standoffish, hostile, or even antagonistic I'm safeguarding

and waterproofing my mental state of mind from people, places and

                 situations. Questions

Alternatives, routes are taken to turn back from dark alleys, friendly

faces lurking to bring naught to dim one's light. Questions

A Blank Page

When confronted by a blank page
the options are limitless
is this perhaps
what makes the endeavour
to fill that page
so daunting
the knowledge
that there are no limits
save for those imposed
by our own tentativeness
if we were to stretch
what is acceptable
to beyond acceptable
making our very audaciousness
acceptable
would the result be meaningful
would it hold any value
or would it be
no more
than a childish tantrum
a garish display
of self-importance
a rant lacking in substance
devoid of any depth
it is this doubt
this lack of self-belief
that thwarts our imagination
that reigns in
our free and creative spirit
our independence
why is it so
what force is at play
that makes us doubt ourselves
with such conviction.

Exactly 14 Minutes and 59 Seconds Starting Now

Ok then

Ever so desperately needy seeking attention

I'll give you exactly

14 Minutes and 59 Seconds

Beginning from now

Then I want spotlight directly back on me

It's s mine all mine

I am the actual real true shinning star

And that is why I am always permanently
on show as it can't go ahead without me

Because there is no 1 in this world quite
like me

So hush and settle down please my multiple
award winning live in person 1 man show is
shortly about to begin

Whilst outside the ticket seller cries

Theater to see

Premium Member Politicians Or Magicians

a world of opposites
where all life benefits
tis down to give and take
equilibrium make

all does swing left and right
keeping the balance tight
but then there cometh man
to oust nature he plan

resources he does claim
dominion is his aim
full of self-importance
he corrupts the balance

he ne’er will go without
and drivel does he spout
as he then justifies
with mass of frigging lies

and his politicians
playing at magicians
with magic wand they wave
to make nature behave

arrogance man displays
practising evil ways
a world once in balance
now hardly stands a chance

man now walks the tightrope
and he has little hope
from side to side he sway
and then he start to pray
