the cacophony
of self-importance
has deadened our soul
making it insentient
to bliss humming
within our heart

City People

i am nothing but a ghost
fluidity and transparency
i am invisible at your whim
fluidity and transparency

from the corners of your self-importance i've gradually been dying
fluidity and transparency
i am nothing but a ghost
i am invisible at your whim

Premium Member Outcomers who Refuse Innoculations

Outbreak of tuberculosis
Out and out ridiculousness
Outcomers who refuse inoculations
Outgrowth of a new pandemic
Outlandish selfishness and self-importance
Outrageous and intolerable
Outside of common sense
Outstandingly self-absorbed and neglectful

Little Goddess In the Moonlight

a tiny goddess to the moon,
one word whispers, "Unworthy".
in response, the wind carries a new thought,
"Child of wisdom, child of night, no spirit, no soul,
is more worthy, more ripe,
then those unsoiled by the cynical rights
of arrogance, self-importance, & hindsight"

Impatience of the proud

The proud and the selfish always need to be first in line
They cannot wait for anyone their self- importance is so sublime
They even pray to God 'Oh Lord please help me to be patient and be kind
But, can you hurry it up please, I'm really out of time'!

  The calmer
     the more confident
  The more strident
     the more insecure

  The more natural the laugh
     the less the self-importance
  The harder the stare
the less of him we can bear

  The more finger-pointing
     the more righteousness
  Hands relaxed at the sides
     reveal humble bona fides

We are free and yet in hypnotic trance
Liberation when, ego does perish
Thought cessation ends futile indulgence
We are free and yet in hypnotic trance
Why as dreamed, so full of self importance
Love alone real, glowing heart our parish
We are free and yet in hypnotic trance
Liberation when, ego does perish

Noticeably Narcissistic

Audacious individuals lack sound judgment
Blow-hard opinions vastly inflates ego
Confidence is exceedingly overwhelming
Delusions of grandeur are clearly evident
Engaged in destructive selfish behavior
Factitious self-importance dilutes potential
Gratuitous toxic actions contaminate the collective consciousness
Hedonistic mindset hinders humanity

Two Things I Asked

I asked two things recently,
who would have thought ?
I don't even know
if I was answered once, twice
or neither.
It may have been any.
It may be that the inevitable
inevitably passed,
or the chips fell just so
regardless of
my petty self-importance.
I have not dared to acknowledge
because I probably had no right
in the first place.

The Place of Delusion In a World of Fact

Life is small
and simple. Even
The years shrink.
The man knows
that his anomie
comes from the truth.
The world is a
blank on which
many impose comfort.
The truth of the blankness
sometimes leaks through.

That leakage
is the disease
which shuts down
the machinery of joy.
The man knows how
the delusion of self importance
is so much
better than the truth.

If you are looking for me..Its a lost cause i say
I seem to grow more distant and different day by day.' I
Once held ideals and ideas of what man I
Should be..Then Jesus came up cliose to be in front'
And I don't care now..For what once I prized
In truth it was but irrelevance, in deceptive guise.' The Light of Jesus..Is above all worldly worth
In Him, is my identity.' May I loose to Him all
Self importance, unto the new birth."

Belly Shirt of Age

Progressively pending the day
The day, when his memory fades
The day when that old belly shirt shreds
As poetic minds cannot

Within the moan rhythmically intellect stands
He says farewell with self importance
I say hello verse you end with expressions
To poetry a belly shirt never shreds
Within the shame of adolescence

Nor does a elegance of a aged love
With the heart of an adolescent becoming a lady
He stands with me eternally.

Premium Member When Time Hovers

Listen to poem:
it’s difficult to begin to comprehend
the concept of eternity
when life is bustling around us all
arrogantly pressing and urgent
so full of self importance

sometimes
in rare moments of silence
when the whole world seems asleep
without warning time stops and hovers

i get a glimpse of what could be
the thread of karma
devoid of all illusion

when inadequacy
comes knocking
who will shove it off the stoop?

when the self importance of this world
makes the air thick
who will slice it thin with humility?

who is that entity of selflessness
sneaking behind the walls,
crouching slowly?

will rays of discouragement,
worthlessness, and the like
burn the skin beyond repair?

I see sadness, but smiles abound.

Happy but hungry,
how can it be?

Faith, love, and you-
respectively.

Meek Mind

M-eek mind before God above
A-ims to think of love;
R-eply to the Father's call
I-s modest and humble.
V-ery lowly and meek mind
I-s leaving the pride behind;
C-onceit is not in sight, ego fades into the night.

R-emain demure inside,
A-ll day long till eventide;
P-oliteness is far from gray,
S-ixth of July Thursday.
I-n the midst of arrogance,
N-ever show self-importance;
G-race comes to the kind, God is near to the meek mind.

Nationals you are the same
Whatever nation you relate to
You're caught up in the old game
Of some national breakthrough
The most independent sources
Tell you what you need to learn
Privileged with self-importance
You count every cent you earn
Tell me propaganda stories
Tired generalizations
Pose a show-off with no worries
Though you are a worried nation
That’s your special way to go
Just a little bit depressing
We are poles apart, I know
But it seems a mutual blessing.
