Selectivity Poems | Examples

Premium Member Thoughts on a Boring Day

Haunches and Paunches

It’s strange to say,
but people who sit on their haunches
develop fat paunches
but, say, isn’t it usually the other way?

Definition

Procrastination is
a synonym for pure laziness
without, however,
the indecision of the former.

Unhappy

Do you wake up every day
bereaved in sorrow,
because yesterday passed away
and today will tomorrow?

Truism

In the matter of sexuality
men prefer promiscuity
to unguarded adultery:
the first allows selectivity
the second, the notoriety
of damaging publicity.

His Libido

Her husband’s libido works like sap,
rising only in the spring, and slow at that.

Food for Thought or Nought?

Given all the choicest of foods we eat,
and what it becomes in the end,
shouldn’t it make us wonder what it is we eat,
and is it worth the money we spend?

Selective Memory's Destructive Power

Through the fog of time, memories fade,
Selectively, they dance, a masquerade.
They choose the fragments, both light and dark,
A tapestry woven with a heartless spark.

Tenderness vanishes, like morning dew,
Only scars remain, vivid and true.
Forgetting laughter, joy, and embrace,
Selectivity memory breeds a barren space.

A weapon disguised in forgetful guise,
Tearing apart bonds with venomous lies.
Selective memory, a double-edged sword,
Both protector and destroyer, to its own accord.

The Creativity

'Creativity,
isn't an educational
activity,
neither it arrives
instantly,
nor it's an outcome of
agility,
it's a simple process
involving complex
and conscious
effort with
honesty
and nobility;
Consistency,
is pretty important,
but selectivity
and reactivity
are the constant content;
for being consistent,
makes one stagnant
in this forest of serpent,
being dynamic and open
is a powerful weapon,
for realising the distinct ability,
which is known for its nativity,
to walk towards the roads of
progressivity and festivity.'

Not Realizing We Were Obamanizing

Not Realizing We Were Obamanizing

Not realizing
We were Obamanizing
Was quire surprising.

Some are disguising
Things they are sermonizing
Need new horizon.

Revitalizing
While riding on big bison
Had John been his son.
(Simple Simon)

Selectivity
May result from brevity
But an entity?

Sure was consistant
They all had been resistant
Not knowing what we meant.

Which political candidate could
any of this be referring to?

One Man In the Name of Love

It was never pronounced that MLK or Ludwig Guttmann were thinkers,
Because prime movers are interactive, preoccupied with their cause;
Societal progress is wrought through effort, division and conflict,
Because progress has its beginnings only secured and settled by legal clause.

Jesus was a social reformer, by life and deed and philosophy,
Who waged that the many should have a doctor, not only the rich;
He healed in the name of love, with intellect as his engine,
And his unjust death sufficed for future generation’s mention.

Love is at the centre of Christianity in Jesus acts of mercy,
It is this historical story that has been trampolined by divinity;
The heart of Jesus is misrepresented for cultural standards mandatory,
Equality of right was bid as medicine’s saleability, not selectivity.

I hate it that you don't like what I write
You'd think at least one time I'd get it right
I get first place with others, never you
Won't join another one, that's what I will do

Consistently put down, oh what a drain!
I find your selectivity a pain!
Most others think my writes are pretty cool
But when I write for you, I'm just a fool

Well, here's to let you know that I am done
Cause entering your contests sure ain't fun
I squeeze my brain in hopes to win your smile
But I get tossed right out on rubbish pile

I'll gloat and savor every winning place
From one to three are ones that light my face
From 4 on down, you freaking kidding me????
