Premium MemberI Admit This Is True

Friends I admit this is true,
"Good News" in the Bible read.
Though its blessings rarely explained,
News worldwide, Christ said ... spread.

News of God's Heavenly Government,
Christ commanded, we preach!
"God's Kingdom come, God's will be done
on Earth" this truth said, ... "teach."

Kingdom's God's form of government,
scripturally hope folks know.
For God's rulership been praying,
God's will on Earth ... to flow.

How? Psalm 37, Wicked destroyed,
Satan too, gone is he.
No longer ruin the Earth, our lives,
Meek promised ... Paradise they'll see.

"The former things" ... pain, death dying,
gone from cleansed Earth comes true.
Christ miracles, as Earth's new King,
read he did ... here soon do.

God's "original" purpose, Earth's
"Paradise," restored by Son.
Glad we're generation soon to see,
God's will on Earth ... be done.

Premium MemberReal Spiritual Growth - 2 Peter 3: 18

There's no neutral position at all
in the spiritual battle forward and back
that's the only two positions that exist
so Peter tells us how to keep on track

If you're going forward that's good
for then you're not going back
but if you're going in reverse
you're letting yourself go off track

Peter the apostle speaks clearly
giving an exhortation to grow
in the grace and knowledge of our Lord
Jesus Christ the saviour the one we know

Being instructed in what Jesus taught
is the source to be scripturally mature
moving on praying in Jesus name
to your heavenly father for your cure

Filled with God's Holy Spirit
fellowshipping with His own ransomed crew
continually putting sin to death
showing marks of holiness and humility to name a few

This indeed is what God requires
from His blood-bought ones
for to Him, glory will they bring
showing they are real true sons

AUTHOR NOTES: 'But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.' 2 Peter 3 v. 18(ESV)

Premium MemberTriumphant Servant

Triumphant in God* midst challenges, grievously dominant

Vibrant will-power prevails in being spiritually jubilant

Radiant is my faith, brightened by truth, scripturally elegant…

Arrogant heart is smitten by meekness, vanquishing the termagant

Vigilant soul keeps me reaching-out as Christ’s prayerful striving servant.**

*2Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
**1Corinthians 7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

Premium MemberThe Purity of the Gospel

We live in a day of glorifying man
all the questions are always earthbound
looking at what results their preaching did
God looking down sees an earthly sound

God almighty has higher standards than man
the proclamation of the gospel is His crown
He looks to His glory and only to that alone
so the gospel's purity sings along heavens sound

What indeed makes the gospel pure?
the gospel must be scripturally full
the preacher must magnify Christ
for its purity makes it a sparkling jewel

Today's church lives at a very low level
it needs lifting to look at Christ's sufficiency
for it's enough God doesn't ask for any more
Christ the saviour is sufficient absolutely

We're not saved by our giving
but by God giving His son
who's finished the salvation work
His father gave him to do, Jesus won

(We live in a day where numbers are all important in Gospel evangelism forgetting that the purity of the gospel is what God is concerned with for His own glory.)

Premium MemberPrayer Pleas

Prayer-pleas of best wishes’ are requests of my earnest heart...
May You, my dear Lord, grant, as for Your sake I do my utmost part
Becoming a blessing to others by the grace and mercy You impart
While in Your perfect will* I abide, thru Your strength – never to depart!

Enable me, my God, to love with Your compassion zeal...
Guard my soul against selfishness of arrogance-appeal
Pardon my hypocrisy in the guise of servanthood’s deal
Keep me submissive to Your control while in sincerity I kneel.

I beseech likewise for a praise-driven spirit, gratefully triumphant...
Led by Your wisdom along Your truth that can free the ignorant
For me to teach what’s right midst the scripturally vigilant
Sharing the faith that honours You ... worshipfully jubilant!

*Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Premium MemberStories Heard and Told

Why does stepping into another's well-told story
fade away my own?
Until I glance away from screen
or page
or exterior speaking voice?

What if my unmediated life,
unwritten and unplayed
with untold anonymity,
were the entirety of my actual spiritual journey?
While all I have read
and watched on screen
of others' creation and destruction stories
are sacred scripture,
divinely inspired
as humanely perspired,
alternative paths and ways
of speaking to and for my own shared resonant voices,
light and more darkly fearsome.

What if biography
were ecological history
of natural,
yet also spiritual,
sacred development?
Written scripturally small,
speaking in still small eisegetical voices
of inspired natural resonance,
fire with water,
ExegetingEarth with revolving,
absorbing,
creolizing enlightenment.

Why does stepping into another species' creation and destruction story
fade away our sacred ownership?
