In restless dreams I sail the night on celestial seas,
starlight serving as my guide on uncharted course.
I explore constellations with consummate expertise,
shared as a secret, but I'll never reveal my source.
My mentor is an impressive sage, a tour de force.
Some nights I fly around the moon with canvas wings,
landing on her surface for a brief respite in the night,
then journey, searching for love, around Saturn's rings
for a handsome dreamer, a gallant captain or a knight
to soar through galaxies with me when we take flight.
I've yet to find a seraphic to ignite my stellar flare.
My dreams may become a scrapbook of sad souvenirs
unless I find an elixir that will lead me to love's lair.
Until then I'll drink bitter wine, infused with my tears.
Where must my search continue, for how many years?
I shall savor the flavor of starlight while I am dreaming.
Thirst quenched in the waters during the moon's eclipse.
I hope to find a lover at my side, his sultry eyes gleaming,
whispering sensuous words before I surrender my lips.
I long to be seduced and caressed by his warm fingertips.

He steps outside
on love's front yard
to savor this final summer
of playful intent,
Too soon stuck inside
when he would happily
and more healthily
have worked out
surrounded by garden sex
with sacred gratitude
And forest walks
through fertility
entered under unshaken silence
of deep summer waiting,
as ominous as an approaching tsunami
terrifyingly known
yet never experienced.
But
not today.
Not here
in this dappled refuge
from jaded burning out
and inside sun
savoring his final summer
of playfully naive intent.

magic oil released in the air
prior to rainfall
alerting us to earthworms
and April showers
Being a pluviophile I adore
the fragrance of petrichor
it opens up my memory
light delicate rains
and cold bitter pelting rains
I savor this scent in silence

Stand by, as I share my sweetest solitude:
laid-back, near lamp's low light- at my keyboard-
rendering real rhymed refrains- with rhythm
of clear, choice words that chime from mind to hands.
With my muse and mindful meditation,
on solitude's stark stage- I step and swirl with
wondrous words that waltz unto the waiting screen.

Soft soporific stillness in the night
Reclaims calm upon chaotic daylight.
Serene solitude takes a languid lead,
Reflecting on days’ rhythmic rapid beat.
My close companion, my favorite friend,
With you I wish demanding days to end.
To soothing spell of silence, I commend.

Savoring solitude’s a sweet sensation
a blissful moment of euphoric, elation
the marvelously meaningful meditation
a sacred savored spiritual vacation
transcending tensions I fly fleetly away
to spiritually survive, savoring silence
mentally waltzing upon my way.

You look into my eyes, the mirror to my soul;
Entreated, enchanted you explore;
You look upon me in love or is it lust;
How do I know in you I can trust?
Pacify the acts of endearment;
Untie those feelings of confinement;
Into reality of life;
I need enlightenment;
I love your inner soul;
I love the way God made you so. . .
Beautiful comes out;
Never nothing un-savoring comes out your mouth;
You belong to God first and then your earthly Father and Mother;
Now I’m asking of all three
May I be your betroth, be yours, may I be…
A husband to you, for you matter
Into reality of life;
I need enlightenment;
Those acts of endearment;
No longer a conflict;
Untie those feelings of confinement;
Never nothing un-savoring comes out your mouth;
I love your inner soul;
I love the way God made you so. . .
Beautiful come wayward out;

Wisdom is
a slow-ripening fruit
that ,
alas, few of us would ever be blessed
to
have the unique privilege
as
to savor its divine flavor!
