Planet in flux…it sucks
No refuge..Scrooge rules..
Stooges subterfuge deluge..
Fossil fuel fools..
Poleaxes..then relaxes…
As the earth burns..
As it turns..on its axis..
***************
Us schmucks battling....
Puzzling...prattling clucks...
Aloof to proof....daft defiance..
Shucks the sleuth of science..
**************
Glower at their ivory tower..
Cruise ship trip fillip..
Dour baby boomer power..
******
Absurd herd..cans compliance
Uncouth trampling truth..
Nip & tucks alliance..
Mottled rucks…throttled petro bucks...
Plucks for retro reliance..
*******
Muzzling…weasel hatchets meddling...
Diesel guzzling trucks..
Saluting high falutin polluting
Pander to propaganda pedaling..
Ratchets up our dander…
Open the ruddy window!
Have a bloody gander!

Meandering meadows broken by a tossing garbling brook…strewn..rocks hewn embossing...marbling and moss flossing
Awoken whispers spoken..cantankerous coughing eddy wheezes..then a curmudgeonly icy mirror hush
Reckoning breezes yield cats' paws beckoning…teases across the flanking field
Fairies’ wield spells conveyed in lush dappled glades of plush bluebell dells
Stacked cumulus collage..shield montage cracked by dazzling azure shard mirage
Chubby clouds’ japes..conjuring cannily hung faces.. shapes...far flung places
Strife is rife..resurrection introspection survival..brings carnival of retrieval
New things...nothing can rival..primal primeval revival..Spring sings life!

Will Putin listen?
Siberia gulags glisten
Hysteria seeds myopia
Creeds..deeds feeds dystopia
Crimea bleeds...greed cornucopia
Impassioned stock shock rationed
Shepherd & flock fashioned
Russian roulette yet again
Ukraine disdain cam-pain
Vladimir fears
Scurrilous sneers
Mutinous jeers

Dissident disappears
Old school kidology
Muscovite cruel mythology
Satellite strewn astrology
Fossil fuel fool geology
Ideology without apology
Bizarre highfalutin Tsar theology

There are three colors I see
Meaning freedom for you and me
Because you fight weeks and months too
Defending our red, whit, and blue
Risking your life night and day
Every time you go away
Your heart is filled with new emotions
But through the hell and commotion
You stay strong and really steady
When needed you will be ready
To utilize the skills from training
But it is silently raining
From you eyes when loved ones send
A care package or a friend
Sends a letter saying they
Hope your safe and soon one day
A welcome home parade will find
The sorrow of war is behind
Bringing all the heroes home
Families no longer alone
Babies being seen and held
As a warm touch makes you melt
With so much love that's been waiting
Joy and happiness creating
Smiles of hope all around
Returning unhurt, safe and sound
Lighting candles for those who
Lost their lives for what they do
America will always be here
Sending out the loudest cheer
Soldiers can keep in their hearts
The next time they soon depart
Needing a reason to go on
When faith and hope fade and are gone

Here do I stand straight and strong at my post
Aiming to protect my mere mortal host
So statuesque yes but still as a ghost
To be called upon when I'm needed most
Now do I vow by my own admission
Honored to serve this noble tradition
The many before in this position
I salute you now for you decision

Sprinkle of grit in the creases of faces terrestrial
Depravity aided by YouTube love advice tutorials
Doll eyes gloss lips curvaceous torso ubiquitous
Entices spiceless meat frozen with unhappiness
Piled minuscule crystals emenate white vibrance
Pull unseasoned cuts to sea salt tumult violence
Dishes missing piquant rub their raw in welcome
Against uptown gusto, ditch wrinkled wearisome
Screen learned psychology reveals men on X- ray
Seduction refined script, - precise final edit essay
Melting snow merges with meat, stinging and yet
Mounts a powder poured alternate animal to zest

Pulse facing, sweat racing
Light deafening sounds blinding
World’s waiting, stage blazing
Times nerving, ticking
All of this to Salute a King
Floors pouring, people raining
Eagerly participating,
Constantly deliberating
Righteously anticipating
A new world order brought about by their Master
Finally, no more violence
Brought about by tender silence
The only nature of its science
Was fearing unrestricted defiance
Saluting King and Kingdom alliance
Yellow majesty and glory
Was witnessing this sacred story
‘See and reap in my Kingdom’ say He
With certainty, destiny foreseen
Praising their Lord and the freedom to be
Eyes listening, ears watching
Feet whistling, fingers shuffling
Sky groaning, thistles moaning
History’s waiting, future’s debating
Hail the King and our new world order
A spurned kiss, a tender brow
Were actions thought to be allowed.
Optimism of this golden Crown
Was the only sober thought that ushered the crowd
As beast and men all salute the King

One and a quarter century ago,
You left without revealing your treasure
Of poetry written in seclusion,
Meant for your eyes only and your pleasure.
How surprised you would be dear Emily
That through all of these years, they have survived
And enchanted tens of thousands readers,
Who hope our own words might be so long-lived.
Modest and reclusive, you couldn’t know
How wide and how far-flung your fame would spread.
Your note-book held such precious jewels that
In this modern age, they’re still being read.
Inspired am I as I turn loved pages
Of poetry lasting through the ages.
