We used to play red rover red rover send NAME right over.
Send Billy, he’s frilly, his skin’s white as vanilly.
Send Jackie, she’s whacky, let’s give her a smacky.
We were ruthless in our run, slamming arms, yet full of fun.

The game was easy to understand, the person who was named had to run.
And try to get the other team’s arms unclasped, that was the fun.
We held on tightly, not letting them in, full of vigor, orneriness and vim.
For letting them in meant letting them win, taking a hostage back with them.

I burned my tongue on caramel coffee
Though it could be from lies of omission
Doesn’t stop mocha me from talking
Or my emerald eyes from violet vision

He loves me sweet he loves me hot
Lilac lips like lava lilies lemon lures
Freeing fluorescent fear thinking not
Hopeful heart seeks red love as cure

We make peculiar purple passion flowers
Blooming despite lack of light lack of showers
We can teal talk mentally walk for hours
Is it luscious lust or liquid love giving powers

I’m too old to waste white wine energy
Yet I find silver strength turquoise time
He’s much more than a fuchsia friend to me
Dropping helium hints the marrying kind

This relationship is like a steam ship
That moves forward like a slow tango
Every time I say it’s over biting lip
I find it doesn’t decline but it grows

I’m not sure I’m the marrying kind
Rather ruined by life in some ways
I’ve tried to show him but he is blind
I guess he is stubborn and has faith

If time is a test we have had a year
I’m just not ready for marriage dear
Red rover red rover send courage over
For the fire of desire burns steady slower

To the Front To Confront

You who are running for cover
Caesar is coming to Dover!
You shall the much feared experience
And what you need is resilience…

During war be less a lover
And Sex tell “For now, you’re over.”
You keep moving to the war front,
Where really we True Life confront

Peace time, one dream to be diver
While seas are far, close a river.
To Seriousness almost “Never!”

What does one do in clover?
Sometimes, tries the aimless rover:
Like helicopters we hover
An d when problem strike “Jehovah!”

Hundred million K' away neighbour, Mars
Hovers bolognese smeared brother, ice brick
     Fondness for possibles although bizarre
Intoxicate screw loose hair brained psychic

Frog skin glint silk soak, last page of atlas
     Frigid rift in regolith terracotta
     Ancient alien sustaining chalice
     Embalms escargot creatures exotic

Savant submerged in claiming lake, limbs grey
Gnawed on by hordes of sword fish ravenous
     Haunting waters, explorer credere
Stores files in his spongy tissue camera

Angora cotton ball goats, horns antennas
Munch dust, dull marbles watch earth untether

         Still the twentieth of October
            Extra terrestrial Thursday

A distraught driver drove to Dover
Running roughshod in his Rover,
Crushing cultivated clover,
Mangling marigolds, moreover,
Pancaking progeny of plover.
Liquor-laden lies to lover;
Outcome: outed, ousted, over.

From the Audio Recordings of Mars Rover Insight

I heard the wind on Mars
Like ours
And that blew me away

The same wolf
Howling
Out there

Roams
The rusted crust
Just as solitary
As his hunt
Here on Earth’s green hills

His wail longing for choirs

Searching the blue sunset on Mars
Same as the orange dusk of our own orb
Or upon any dark stone
Cast throughout the abyss

This
Will be our greatest human discovery.

The Amorous Rover

THE AMOROUS ROVER

An amorous dog, name of Rover,
Tried to win a lady dog over.
She agreed to a date
And although she was late,
Our Rover was truly in clover.

They had best caviar and champagne
And duck a’lorange for their main.
When it came to the sweet,
They conceded defeat
And decided it best to abstain

She said, “I am watching my figure.
I don’t want to get any bigger.”
And to make sure she knew,
“I am watching it too,”
He said with a lecherous s.

He wanted to make her his soul mate
And thought he would move at a fast rate.
He said, “Your place or mine?”
She said, “That’s out of line,
I never succumb on the first date.

That was two months ago back in May
And he got his way, needless to say.
And as for her figure
It got rather bigger.
They expect their litter next Friday

Taking Over From An Outgoing Treasurer

The Out-Going Treasurer had me briefed
But through the released records I still leafed,
Just in case a thing was tightly overlooked
And I some tomorrow hatefully booked
Over some books I had barefacedly cooked
And some missing one million or thereabouts
I should kindly explain its whereabouts…

The one hitting about The Handed Over
And one lousily taking them over:
Before a week’s swiveling of the chair, A Police Land Rover,
If one had happened to be lucky with Army Range Rover;
For unsmiling cops that shall in your office hover…

Always, while taking over from A Treasurer,
Try to be about one or two things surer.

Premium MemberMars2020 Perseverance Rover

It’s a robot dog with wheels some weirdo said loudly next door.
I am the Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover, space explorer.
I collect rocks and soil, and monitor weather, dust, and the air.
But not on earth, on Mars. I say this with confidence, a robotic heir.

Future hopeful human explorers may be able to inhabit Mars.
Thanks to me, even if they have to remain in bubble safe cars.
I have landed on the planet safely already with my lovely TRN,
And my brand new spanking wheel design is the living end!

For the first time ever, I am equipped to the max. I carry a drill.
I will scoop up rocks and soil, looking for microbe life. What a thrill!
A robot dog on wheels indeed? This sounds like an unlearned man.
I bet he would have trouble learning about science. I am not his fan!

Did I mention that I have a helicopter tucked under my belly?
We need to know if we can ever live there, and run our telly.
I can also test the oxygen production. This will help us plan.
Have to go. I am tubing up Martian samples as fast as I can!

Rover the dog got stuck in a bog
When searching for a bone
As he was sinking
He started thinking
He wished he had a phone

Red Rover

You know the rules.
You had your chance.
You lost.
Now…
My turn.

I will tell her the sky dims when she smiles,
As her beam is bright, and lights up not only my life,
but the world.
God knows my heart, and knows exactly what I mean.
She… is the help mate I have prayed for…

No, she can not cook. You told me.
No, she can not sew, who cares.
No, the clothes are not all washed, or picked up,
but her children laugh, she sings and I think you are stupid.

The golden voice at church, lifted to heaven,
An angel… has fallen… but please… let her stay… a while.

I want to know what it is like to have some one.
Some one that talks about me, like she does you.
Some one to touch my shoulder as I walk by,
Wait for my hand, to get out of the car,
step with me upon the dance floor,
and be mine forever.

You really are less than smart.

“Send my forever love write over” (a little kid smiles, a great game taught early)

Don'T Tell Me She Is a Rover

Don't tell me she is a rover
Don't tell me that I'm not the one
I've searched this whole world all over
And, my friend, my searching is done

They say she's had other lovers
She says she's had none quite like me
She says that I don't pull covers
And, friend, that's important you see

She likes her water with whiskey
And she likes her potatoes fried
She wears a smile when she's frisky
And keeps mostly nothin' inside

Don't tell me she is a rover
Don't tell me that I'm not the one
I've searched this whole world all over
And, my friend, my searching is done

Me Ship, Rover

Walkin' meself by the place where Mike's Bar's
place to be this night of rain and cold chill,
I thought I'd have me some jolt that bejars
me gut havin' time now so as might kill.
Mike's a great one seen oft servin' used swill.
He'll lift a man's leavin's very quickly,
pourin' same down drain where pitcher waits till
placed in sight, ugh, lookin' mighty sickly.
Me thinks he's not doin' right thing strictly,
so's to keep away from dirty dealin's,
I'll drink only wine that pours out thickly,
minding right well me own tender feelin's.
Me ship sails at mornin' tide to Dover.
She's a fine ship carryin' name The Rover.

Wild Rover

Barefoot hunter stands on sand
A young man leaves a troubled land
On sand and water travels wide
Searching for that peace inside
And as he looks around the world
He learns to know the cost
Of women loved and friendships lost
He passes on his love of stone
With friends and family makes a home
And to the earth he gives what can't be owned
And though they try to wrap his feet
His heart stays strong, will not be beat
And walls that stand a hundred years
Through life and laughter, death and tears
Moors,mountains, rivers ,fun and snow
The world spins round ,the wee bairns grow
TESTOSTERONE the women groan
Us kids we laughed"we're not alone"
And hearts were broken,mended,life's defended,upended
Then gloriously sunshine, lived fast and hard
Fine wine and dancing, life at best and worse
And now this hunter he stands proud
His sons and daughters in the crowd
The friends he lost amongst the fight
The embers of their love burn bright
And from afar in heavens bar
They drink and laugh and fight
And he looks UP this Irish rover and laughs and loves and gives thanks.

Rover

I,m off down the park for a walk with Rover,
I shouted back to my wife.
Well I dearly hope you both get run over,
For your pets are the bane of my life!
Charming, I thought as I slammed the front door,
Can,t a man have a simple pet.
It,s not as if he pees on the floor,
He,s the best goldfish I,ve had yet!
