The Hope That Rises In The Eastern Sky

That great light in the sky burns with abandon.
Its light shines down on us like a gold halo.
Today we will walk in its perfect splendor.
With no shade to foil its faust endevor.
The common birds fly with feathers of fancy.
And wrap them around the young in their high home.
Soon comes the dark counter when night brings their prayers.
But morning spurs them to sing their songs of praise.
As their brilliant god burns away the darkness.

Premium MemberKUNDALINI RISES

Looking steadily into my shyly cloaked eyes,
His arms encircled but barely embraced me, pulling me closer.
Then slowly sank his soft and gentle hands to gracefully poise above
The life-giving Chakra at the base of my naked spine.
Heating, throbbing, at once igniting the all-creative center
Now expanded in a glorious rise from momentous peak to peak.
He made no touch to interfere with the glorious rhapsody of pure Energy.
No words were needed to break the trance or describe what only ecstasy can convey.
Oneness swirls in shades of red about our conjoined bodies,
Two atoms made sacred exploding into One as our Kundalini rises.

I remember the look in your eye
your voice your smile your touch your kiss
I remember like it was yesterday

in mode embrace, release, then pause
we review lust versus God’s laws
with love being the litmus test
our soul’s light revealed, when heart thaws

nestled deep within our heart’s nest
breath by breath we are by God blessed
wherein all we do is renew
throb of magnetism, whilst at rest

rapture rises, each hue is new
nectar drips, fresh like mountain dew
God’s grace in-pours through pores in space
mysteries our mind cannot sew

tango dancing at a slow pace
form a temple, where we efface
the false self, our wayward ego
to behold clearly, our true face

there’s nothing we do, save let go
that as we do so, we then know
body will die but not our soul
we have come here to feel love grow

I have always been my own outspoken critic,
I’m a perfectionist and I do let it show.
At times I’ve been told things don’t really matter,
that in the end I'm the only one who will know.

To me, being good enough, isn’t good enough,
For being good enough looks average to me.
Many don’t understand why I’m hardest to please,
but I’ve always tried to be, the best I could be.

Premium MemberAt midnight, a silent ocean of ebony rises

At midnight, a silent ocean of ebony rises,
a black lung stretching over my fragile ribs,
and the bed becomes a cold altar where the body rehearses its disappearance,
a sanctuary of shadows dancing on the edges of unknown dreams.
The footsteps vanish, leaving room only for insects quietly gnawing the lampshade,
small mouths reminding me how delicately the light fades,
and how the story unravels in the darkness that flows gently,
fragments of time and memories falling like the leaves of an eternal autumn.
But in this abyss of silence, a memory shines defiantly,
a spark defying the deep silence of the night,
wishing to preserve the light even when darkness sings its final note,
and hidden voices whisper of the rebirth waiting on the horizon.
I rise from my stone altar, seeking to rewrite the lost words,
in a world awakening with each sunrise,
a universe where even shadows embrace their beauty,
an eternal journey toward the light, beyond the boundaries of night.

She Rises

She is the whisper of dawn
Soft yet unyielding,
A storm wrapped in silk,
A fire that warms and burns.

She curries worlds in her hands,
Dreams in her eyes,
Scars that tells stories,
Yet she walks unbowed.

She loves, she builds, she heals-
A force of grace and grit,
The soul of the earth,
Eternal, unstoppable.

Catching My Heart

I’ve lost my heart among the woods,
Where now it flutters in the drafts
And moves about close secrets kept
Within the floras’ whispered breath.

I know because there glimpses break
Between the bark-skinned living things,
Where there it flows from one to next
In jubilant discovery.

I feel it yet, though standing yon,
Of how the boughs absorb the sun
Among the shafted beams of light
That pierce the hazy, busy air.

Despite observing, yet I sense
The stirring of euphoria
That rises from the forest floor
To giant heights within my heart.

I think that I should join with it
If I can catch it in a pause,
For time can pass so ever slow
And ever speed to its demise.

America Rises

America rises, proud and bold
With dreams ignited, stories told
United we stand, in strength we trust
A brighter future, a nation robust

Premium MemberThe Phoenix rises

Opting not to be mocked by time,
we navigate the vibrant void,
frolicking betwixt bliss beat’s chime,
no longer by desires decoyed
and as we so heavenward climb,
soul’s light shines, pure and unalloyed.

Breath by breath as form turns to dust,
in staid silence we pierce the veil,
by negating the thrust of lust,
distanced from fear forms that assail,
choosing love and light, pathways just,
even though feeble form is frail.

Why’d light pay homage to ego,
when what soul’s truth is, we now know?

The sun also rises

The truth may be a cracked mirror, changing at every angle,
pleasure diminishes with time, yet the sun also rises.

Time spent in self-pity is meaningless, a flight of numbness
disdainful of clinging to the hope the sun also rises.

There may be ripples on the dark surface of waters in storms
but savoring these moments purifies when the sun rises

Ideals become dented and rusty like suits of armor
summer light softens the edges of things as the sun rises.

I will not tremble in panic watching my shadow detour
elsewhere out of my mind, but wait till the sun also rises.

When doing any job, work smart, don’t stop
My mothers advice, “Cream rises to the top”
Her advice seemed sound,
and to it I became bound,
And at fifty-six I retired early chop chop.
